falcon's stink i dont care if we get blown they still stink...examples...defense rank? 23 offense rank? 19....new orleans deffense rank? 9 offense rank? 15......get what im getting at? we can shred this disgusting team ..overated
 
stats dont lie but records speak the truth even more. its going to be a good on but we WILL pull it out
 
Im guessing they are +15 or so in turnovers (to lazy to look it up).
 
The only offensive and defensive stats that matter are points for and points against - no one ever won a game for racking up yards!
 
I've posted it before...falcons are destroying the saints when it comes to points for and against...and that is the only stat that matters...please do not insinuate that the saints are better than the falcons just becasue of stat rankings...falcons record = 5-2, saints = 2-5 !!!
 
Stats DO LIE !!!!
Sometimes the better team can win a game while acummulating half the yardage.
Vicks passing stats don't explain how effective a QB he is. A good defense can let alot happen underneath.. but step up when it counts the most. The Falcons are a good team, yes they barely (shouldn't have) beat the Saints... yes they may be slightly over-rated.. but this will be a tough one. Atleast they won't have Horn and Stallworth running around... They're gunna hafta run it down our thoats to win and that should be a Test for Them.
 
Stats do lie.
Their offense may be ranked lower than New Orleans but that's because New Orleans is a big play team, Brooks has at least one 20+ yard pass in every game this season. Joe Horn is a good target, too. Atlanta's best receiver is a second year man who caught two passes last year. Atlanta is far better than New Orleans and you should have realized stats lie when you tried to imply otherwise.
This also doesn't bring into consideration Special Teams. The Falcons have one of the best return men I can think of and it's possible he's giving them a shorter field than most people. Allan Rossum returned one or two kicks last year, he's capable of getting the offense closer, in which case their yardage is deceiving. Maybe the Falcons only have to go 30 yards to score instead of 70, that affects their "total offense" rank but not their record.
The point is, Atlanta has a good record in a competitive division and a lot of playmakers on defense. Stats mean little, if anything.
 
Stats may not lie, but they don't tell the whole truth either !!!!!

Duh....offensive ranking? Defensive ranking? turnover ratio? Duh....

they dont lie, but can be misleading.

they dont have a stat that shows what M. Vicks does.
 
I think the point is, they are not a dominant team.....a good team yes, unbeatable........no.

They beat a 4-3 Philly team in turmoil, they lost the other two games against winning teams they faced. All of their other wins were against losing teams, two of which had serious QB problems.

and we lost to 1 of those losing teams which was the jets... cant figure the nfl out like that

...and the Dolphins have a losing record with some QB problems. Nothing matters except that the Dolphins show up BIG at home.

Atlanta is my NFC team of choice. They don't stink and stats do lie. In fact nothing lies better than stats! the best stat for a team is wins. You don't need stats to show Vick is great. But you do need stats to try and prove he is bad, even though that would be a lie.
