Gus's Stats By Week Rushing Att & Yds By Week

comp att yds td int Rush Att Rush Yds Win/Loss
24 36 275 2 1 33 151 W
20 43 177 1 1 18 66 L
14 33 171 1 1 30 144 W
21 33 226 2 3 20 113 L
21 43 267 0 0 18 64 L
11 29 125 0 1 14 94 L
16 28 168 1 1 47 188 W
13 22 103 0 1 25 105 L

I threw Gus's stats just up just for comparison. Nothing about them stood out to me. However, the rushing stats did. Every game we rushed for over 100 yards. The two expections were; week 5 against Buffalo and week 9 against Atlanta, both times game winning/tieing drives ended in the red zone by a turnover. My point to this nonsense is, Linehan seems to want an Eagles type offense, however with the players we have we need more off a Chiefs type offense. Question being, does Linehan change his style, does Saban pick up players to fit his scheme in the offseason, or is Linehan shown the door after this season?

This is how I see it....Saban said..." we will start the QB who gives us the best chance to win games....one who can manage the game...and limit his mistakes." Thru 8 games....Gus has lost his ability to manage games properly...come on...0 sacks..0 pressures and 0 knockdowns....and barely 100 yards passing??? Gus has clearly shown us why he has been a career back-up in this league. Sage should be given his chance to manage this team from here on out.......funny thing though....we all know neither QB will probably be on this roster unless.....Sage pulls a Brees and just clicks....but we will never know....we DO know that Gus cant run this offense effectively....and that alone demands a change.

I've noticed an interesting trend. We seem to lose the majority of the games that Gus has started.

Man...I failed to see that one!!! Good observation! :goof:

Actually, it seems if we run the ball at least 30 times we win. Wow what a suprise with Ronnie and Ricky running the ball we eat up clock AND move the ball.
