Anyone know when the "Great White Hope" might be back in action? Lord knows this team needs him now...

Man, we need somebody to step up now...

I'm thinking that guy that wears number 18 looked pretty decent last night... Roger? Rober?... :ponder:

None other than Roberto Wallace. He needs to make that leap to starting WR right now

I want to see the pruitts n Wallaces of the world get some 1st team reps anyway...think one of those guys can contribute

Brian Hartline remains highly average, and currently injured.

Is he a lock to make this team if one of the young guys step up even if Chad gets cut, if he cant get on the field?

Although Hartline is no world beater, he's still a reliable target with sure hands and a great attitude. He shouldnt be a number one by any stretch, but he's still the kind of WR that can be very useful to a rookie QB...

Couldn't have said it any better myself. If healthy, Hartline will be a solid, though not spectacular receiver for Tannehill going forward.

Exactly what I was trying to say in a previous thread and was called a Hartline lover. Good post.

I do think that down the road you have to find someone with more upside on your way to a SB, but I dont think we have that guy on the roster right now nor do I think we're headed for the SB anytime soon so why let him go just for the sake of it?

I'd like to see more of Wallace and Clay. Maybe they can increase the momentum and take it into Week 1.

I refuse to get excited over Brian Hartline. Statistically he is one of the worst wide receivers in the league, and the only reason why people are clamoring for him is that he is a known quantity on a depth chart literally full of unknown quantities.

A receiver is only as good as his opportunities. If a guy like Hartline, proven to be at the bottom of the league in terms of production as a starting receiver, is out on the field, we will never know what we have in anyone else. Seeing as we have a new offense that Hartline hasn't even been on the field for, now is just as good of a time as any to cut ties.

Nobody knew who Laurent Robinson was until he get a chance on the field last year. Wes Welker spent years not even working as a receiver before becoming the best slot man in the league. I don't think any of our guys are that good, but there's actually a pretty good chance they could end up being more productive than Hartline, considering how hard it would be to not do that given time on the field.
