When I mentioned to my friend (who happens to be a Steelers fan) how funny it would be if Joey Porter won DPOY after leaving the Steelers, he said this word for word "Joey Porter might not even play this year, he has a bad knee."

This is also coming from a kid that said that Culpepper only had 66 yards passing against the Steelers D, which later I found out was 262 yards passing.

Now correct me if I'm wrong Joey Porter had arthroscopic knee surgery to fix his knee last year.

If he wins DPOY, he sure lived up to the contract. Though chances are, it will be either Champ Bailey or Jason Taylor again.

I havnt heard any signs of Porter not being 100 percent healthy for this year.

He is fine. He had that knee surgery last May and didn't show any problems last season as the only two games he missed were in early October.

Porter is fine.

I doubt the Fins would have signed him (especially for so much money) if he were in serious jeopardy of not playing.

Yeah I figured he was fine, I was just making sure.

He's fine. The worst my brother (huge Steelers fan) had to say about Porter is that we overpaid for him. :rolleyes2

But, he also said that our D will be feared greatly with the addition...:cooldude: ...and that Porter still has a few good years in him...

i hope he is fine, but I have little confidence in team doctors that passed Daunte Culpepper and had reservation sabout Brees.

Daunte didn't fool any doctor, and Brees' shoulder injury is one that could be a serious problem in a couple years, not in the short term.

Funny that you say that, I was gonoing to post the same thing. Hopefully we had some new doctors this year.
