Do forgive me for starting this silly thread...but I'll try and be somewhat funny.

Polamalu 'tweaks' ankle

How many of you knew he was married to Alex Holmes sister?

-----------

So maybe he can help lure him here in the future?? Provided we keep Alex Holmes. What's your take on Holmes? Is he decent? I honestly don't recall much of an impact from him.

I know this thread is somewhat pointless, so maybe I should say: Ricky to Pittsburg for Polamalu! Yeah, that's it.

Hey, not a bad shout. Of course we are talking a few years time in which Holmes could be a huge NFL star (:D ) or out of football or still the back up TE. If he were here then maybe we could get him.

Be nice, hes the best S in the league. However cant see it happening. :boohoo:

unless something strange happens, im pretty sure troy will be a steeler for MANY years to come

It's that HOPEFUL time of year though. He is a sick football player. We could use him though, couldn't we. I mean he's a slight upgrade over Tebucky & Tillman. And he'd slide nicely into our scheme.

I say we hang onto Holmes justin case.

I wouldnt mind having Troy but Pitt wont let that happen any time soon. He is way to valuable to there D. But that would be sweet!!

I went to 3 of the preseason games and Alex Holmes sticks out in my mind as making a few nice plays, but mostly for some big drops. He dropped a wide open touchdown against Tampa Bay and another long pass over the middle against Atlanta. Nonetheless, he has some speed for his size and I can see him playing a bigger role in the future in some capacity or another.
