Looking at the box score for the last two games:

Browns: 33 carries for 231 yards (7.0 ypc!!)---every rusher had over 4.0 ypc.
Ravens: 26 carries for 122 yards (4.7 ypc)

Ajayi should have an awesome day against Pittsburgh. I was just reading on Steeler nation's message board about how thin their defensive line is and also how they are extremely poor tacklers. Not too much has changed since Ajayi ran for 200+ on them. Miami has to get physical and punch them in the mouth early and often.

We know our defense is porous as all hell but if we can get pressure on Ben and keep them off the field by securing TOP advantage I think Miami can win!!

Except this time around we don't have Pouncy. Regardless we should have some success running

Wasn't the Browns game all backups for the most part?

I believe Shazier and Timmons are their only great tacklers in their front 7. I'm not too surprised it isn't more well known. All the media outlets only care about their offense.

^^ Looks like a Jay Ajayi stat line...

No matter how cold this game is going to be a grade A rushing attack always travels well. You know Tomlin is going to be preaching on how they need to key in on him. Question is, do they have the horses to shut Ajayi down?

Hopefully Pitt goes all out to stop the run and Stills burns them deep.

Well for that matter our whole defense is a weakness

Ozzy rules!!

Doesn't matter how many yards they give up, we have to translate any success Ajayi has into touchdowns.

FO's numbers have them 11th against the run, 12th against the pass, 8th running, 8th passing, and 16th in ST. They don't have a real weakness other than not being great at anything.

Edit: the numbers do include all the games without Bell and Rothlisberger, so never mind the "not great at anything" bit. If anyone's doing some shredding, it's more likely to be them

Well obviously; but It always matters. Yards given up means that we have the ball in our hands and our defense is resting. Their O is not on the field.

I agree of course. But with this swiss cheese D of ours it won't matter if Ajayi runs for 300 and we control TOP without getting to the end zone often. Remember how much TOP Indy needed against us in...was it 2008?...that prime time game?

EDIT: week 2 2009. We rushed for 240 yards and held the ball for 45 min.

Once Big Ben messed up his leg or ankle in that game he wasn't the same he missed a lot of opportunities...we got lucky!

They might be forced to play as aggressivley towards the run as the jets did and we all saw hiw that turbed out for them. No drops Stills! I know he hasnt had one in a while but I worry,
