They need a RB now.Yes they have the bus(IN HIS LAST YEAR).But just want to here your ideas.Which of our RB's would you trade for a player, players or picks from them.I really don't see anyone maybe Hines Ward now that he's a hold out.Other then that I don't see anyone else they'll let go.(Please keep the XFL MVP Maddox out of it)

First off, we can't afford Hines Ward... but if we could I would trade Ricky and Booker for him in a second. By the way do you have a link for the duce injury, this is the first I have heard of it.

It is on the ESPN Ticker...

Nasty

If you traded Ricky Williams to the Steelers (5th rounder) he would have a realistic chance to break the single season rushing record in '06. That would be a powerhouse.

out a month. from steelers forum site, reported on espn radio.

That will get him back in time for the regular season.

we cant afford hines so i didn't bother to talk about him.

from pittsburghlive forums, people are saying he wants at least 16-18 million guaranteed.

and another thing, you guys keep wanting to trade ricky for a low pick 5-7. what are the chances that pick will ever do anything for us? very low.

id rather keep ricky and take a chance on him and not take a chance on that low level pick.

Duce is only out a month. I can't see Ricky fitting in with a rabid fan base and media like Pittsburgh or a head coach like Cowher. That would be a bad bad fit for him.

But, if Pitt wants to pony up for Ricky..........hey, more power to them. I think they will wait it out though. Doesn't sound like a major injury for Duce.

Thanks for the link. I totally agree with you death7star, there is no point in trading ricky for a draft pick, thats why a player for player deal would be better for us if we trade him at all.

If that month holds up, the Steelers will stand pat.

If it doesn't, I think the team might just have another potential suitor for Lamar Gordon should he show that he is worth a darn in the preseason games.
