Steph: Maybe I'll buy the Knicks

Stephon Marbury once refuted a LeBron James comment about his Starbury brand with a pointed "Better to own than be owned."

The way things are going, that theory might be his only way back on the court as a Knick.

Before the $21.9-million guard sat out his fifth straight game -- fourth on the inactive list -- Friday night against the Washington Wizards, he said he loves the Knicks so much, he might one day buy the team. "I love the fans, I love New York and I love the New York Knicks," he said. "One day I might be able to buy the New York Knicks."

I'd love to see him have an MVP season this year averaging like 30 a game and winning the MVP by taking the Knicks to the playoffs just so he gets another huge deal and draws ever closer to buying the Knicks ruining the franchise FOREVER!

Well, I guess maybe the Raiders..but the Bricks have had the title for years.
