What's the status on Stephen Davis-I know he was cut by Carolina. I think he's 31 and a hell of a player. If available we could use him to back up Ronnie for now.

Any one with info on Davis or another talented free agent RB chime in.
 
I think Stephen's body has called it a day bro. I think his last complete season was in Washington.
 
Aside from his goalline work last year, he was a very inneffective RB. I agree with the others - hes done.

what about the year they went to the super bowl? He made the pro bowl that year....id say from halfway through 04 season and half of 05 was pretty much his downslide in terms of staying healthy. Even though he did have 11 TDs in 05.
 
look at the bright side at least now we get to really see what kay jay can do ... he looks kind of promising if not we got preaty decent backups with minor and morris ... i'm just worried if brown get hurt then we'll be in some trouble but thats looking way to far ahead ... anyways what can you do ?
 
i think as a backup and redzone rb he would be a good fit for us, he would just be ronnies backup and don't get that much carries, so he should stay healthy...
 
Sammy Morris can do the job with no problems. We are good at RB. Pick up a guy on the second day if you have to.
