Stephen Ross Presser 11/11

I was more interested in Garfinkel. I know what I'm getting in Ross.

Garfinkel was more nervous than ideal, and he also referred awkwardly to notes on occasion. Otherwise he demonstrated some personality and ability to frame an argument. Certainly preferable to Mike Dee. Not bad for first time in a major spotlight with this franchise. Notice that nobody has ripped him in this thread. That's a major step forward considering the typical caliber of individual in our front office.

Garfinkel hasn't been here long enough to screw things up yet.

if you couldnt see that ross is our problem from that interview then ya gotta be blind... he hired a board to advise him to not over react???

If that wasn't bad enough, he repeated it for emphasis. I was howling.

But that is an issue in situations like this. I've mentioned it many times. Maybe Ross realizes he's not immune. As soon as a new development breaks in this story, the one guarantee is somebody here will start a new thread and it will be flooded with nothing but overreaction. I have a difficult time believing what I'm seeing.

Actually after seeing the video first hand he came off pretty well.

He looked good, he said he didn't want to take anything out of proportion. He spoke about the NFL locker room as being a different type of place.

He was very supportive of Phillbin, EXTREMELY so which earns my respect.

The media of course took a few quotes and ran with them, they chose the quotes I would NOT have ran with. :err:

I was afraid of more instability in the off season, but he was very blunt about his support for Philbin. The board thing as well was misrepresented by the press. He wants people to do an analysis and possibly set guidelines which is NOT how that was reported at first

Not seeing the live presser from the text it looks like Ross did a good job no? I am usually hard on him, but from what I read I like what he said!

He was absolutely terrible until he got done with the statement and started handling questions. He is about the worst person I've ever seen when he's giving a prepared statement.

Nobody on earth who has good public speaking skills pretends to be a bad public speaker.

He is absolutely TERRIBLE when reading a prepared statement with the lights on him. But when he's giving back and forth, he's much better. My guess is that behind closed doors in back and forth negotiations, he is a totally different person. I find it impossible to believe he has spearheaded a $20,000,000,000 (yes, twenty BILLION) dollar real estate project that will pretty much transform a big part of New York City without the ability to command a small room.

I worked in Business, including the real estate market in manhattan. you may very well be right, I'm not pretending to know one way or another.

But one thing I learned is if your chasing $, you look for the guy wearing sweatpants and a rolex, not the guy in the flashy suit who pretends to know more than he does.

This is absolutely true. One thing I've learned about people who are very good at acquiring wealth is that they often prefer to keep acquiring it rather than flaunting it.

Wow somebody finally apologized to the fans....thank you now lets see the decisions you make going forward....

You have me debating if I should watch the presser and lose all confidence or save my time and still have hope
