The Dolphins traded for Stephone Anthony after Timmons disappeared. They gave up a 5th Round pick. He hasn't even been active... I thought at the time this was a desperation move, but it seems even worse now.

5th Round Picks shouldn't just be throwaway picks. I believe Ajayi and Reshad Jones were both 5th round picks. To just throw away a 5th for a guy that doesn't even play is just malpractice.

I had forgotten about him. Wow yeah, what a crap move unless he figures into their future plans this is the equivalent of just donating their 5th rounder to the Saints.

Same ol Dolphins....just the years change.

yeah it is weird & not looking like a good trade at the moment if it was for a 7th round pick i am sure no one would care.

Yeah this was a waste of a pick. Big time. Maybe we can cop a 5 off of someone in the offseason to make up for it, but there's no denying what a stupid move this was at this point.

this was awful at the time and no one seemed to be bothered by it. the way tbaum throws away draft picks is infuriating...Carroo, Thomas, Anthony, etc. Imagine if we had actually used those picks on Oline how much better off we would be right now smh.

Last night I was thinking the same thing but not so fast......hear me out. Timmons is playing well but he's older and in a two year contract. Malaugua(SP?) is on a one year deal so he's gone after this season. Hoping RM comes back 100% and plays great but we don't have much depth and this guy was a 1st round pick on a cheap deal and he's still very young. The deal for Carroo was way worse than this one. I'm willing to wait and see what happens

Ozzy rules!!

Said it was a stupid move at the time and there were plenty on here that chimed in and said the front office knows what its doing. 5th round picks are meaningless.

Tannenbaum, giving away picks for nothing since 2006.

It was a panic move given the Timmons situation.

Obviously I'm glad in the end it worked out with LT, but we definitely gave up too much for S. Anthony.
