Thank god that Milbury is finally gone. I don't think he made one good move while with the team and now we can finally move on.

Could be the worst G.M. in pro sports history.

Since he's been on Long Island he has traded:
Wade Reddan, Bryan Berard, Darius Kasparaitis and Bryan McCabe on defense.

Olli Jokinen, Todd Bertuzzi, Ziggy Palffy and Raffi Torres at forward.

Had Roberto Luongo then traded him so he could select Rick Dipietro (passing on Dany Heatley).

But the PINNACLE of Milbury's stupidity came in 2001. He shipped Zdeno Chara, Bill Muckalt and 1st round selection (that turned into Jason Spezza) for Alexei Yashin. Then he compounded that STUPIDITY by giving Yashin a 10 year $87.5 million dollar contract.

How is he still employed? (he will remain on as Senior Vice-President of Charles Wang's sports holdings).

I truly was pissed when he just completely revamped the team and got rid of everyone. Before that I was a huge Islander fan, and I haven't been the same fan since. Now maybe they'll actually be able to build something even though I still can't stand Yashin and we're never gonna be able to get rid of him. I really hope we can get Brent Sutter to be the coach/GM and it seems they are in fact targetting him. http://www.tsn.ca/columnists/bob_mckenzie.asp
