it was not a well known fact but the Miami Dolphins defense hasn't given up 100 yards to a WR in like over 2-3 yrs...

Our defense have another record with like 33 or so games w/o giving up a 300 yrd day to a QB..... that is still in tact because Jake was 15 yrd short or breaking it

We need some Pass Coverage ... fast.

eh...we won. statistics and records are pointless.

Tell that to Marino.

Ok, fine. Stats don't matter unless they make you feel better about not winning a championship. ;)

well, this is a reality almost every other NFL team has to deal with.

not every team who gives up 300 yards passing is a bad defense

our secondary certainly needs to improve. however, its not the 285 that bothers me, its the 170 by smith. the fins cannot allow 1 player to win a game all by themselves

they aren't pointless. it shows us how good are secondary was. i think it helps puts things into perspective. we definitely need to get the problem solved.

lets go dolphins

he did not catch the ball when the game was on the line, madison shut him down on that drive

i find that hard to believe as moulds of the bills regularly gets his 100 against us. do you have a link?

The man was a force and I cant remember the last time a player did that to us.He was the sum of the Panther offense and we still could not stop him .We won the game but it could have gone either way.

You are right. We'd all rarther have the win than the stats in exchange for the win. But I think he's put good perpective on how bad our pass coverage was. His point I think is it needs fixing if we want to keep enjoying the wins.

I agree to a point, they aren't pointless. However we are playing a different scheme now. We are putting a lot more pressure on the QB, by bringing more people. That puts less back to break up passes.
Bates system was nice at putting us in the top 5 in the league in yards every year, but that is not championship defense. You have to force the offense to do what YOU want, rather than reacting to what they do. Pressure causes turnovers and mistakes, it also gives up big plays from time to time. I don't mind giving up 400 yards to a QB if we also force him to throw 4 picks. We will still probably win the game.
