talking about Delhomme and his limited arm and how defenses shrink the field because they aren't scared

I just realized that Penny was on borrowed time.

I wanted to believe and I was a fool.

god bless you ChadP, it was good for a way too brief time

the NFL is no place for shot-putters

Steve Young was never one for original thought & has gone down hill since Aeneas Williams laid him out.

you're right, what does a HOF, SuperBowl QB know about the passing game:rolleyes2::rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

Steve Young needs to hit himself on the head and put himself out of his misery.

The only chance we had yesterday after Chad P got hurt was to run the Wildcat with Ronnie for the rest of the day. Chad H was not prepared to play....hopefully he will be decent the rest of the year, but I think we have to look at drafting our franchise QB next year. I think Chad and Pat White can battle it our for a backup job but we need a QB who will be the face of this franchise.

Watching the way Carolina stumbled to 0-3 just reminded me of Miami's woes.

Kind of what you're saying is the guy that we did draft to be the franchise guy (Chad Henne) doesnt even get a chance to prove himself. I mean cmon the guy hasn't even been given a chance here...he's got the cannon arm and the mechanics all he needs now is a gameplan that suits him not 1 that is fit for pennington. No matter who you draft they will not come in and be an automatic savior it just doesn't work that way. I know you look at flacco and ryan and even sanchez as that but these are anomalies that don't come around very often

Yea the Penny huggers are still upset. Fact is a old 'phin like McDuffie said some thing along those lines, and people got upset. Then you got a SB winning HOF playmaking WR Michael Irvin who called Penny for what he is, and people here got upset. Then Young speaks the truth about another qb, that I compared to Penny a few weeks ago...say what many here said about Penny...and people are getting upset w/ him.
A 1 year starter and people here act like their own family is being attacked. Penny came in and did a GREAT job for a 1-15 team. But its not like he spent years here producing like a OJ McDuffie. Its not like he produced on the field like a HOF SB winning qb like S. Young. And its not like he will goto to the HOF like M. Irvin.

I'm not reveling in Penny's injury. But people here need to ease up and let it go. Some here seen since the BALT playoff game the limitations of the offense and the field general of that offense and got called alot of names for saying the obvious. People here act as if MIA forever should be hugging on Penny as if he were a Marino, McDuffie or even Duper/Clayton. Players that produced for YEARS in a MIA uniform.

People need to calm down and ease up. Penny is going to be ok. His life isn't football, its a career. He will start the second part of his life and will excel in whatever he chooses to do. And I will be thankful for the 1 year of him leading a 1-15 team to respectability. But I will hold the likes of MIA players who played their careers in MIA alot higher than that of Penny who spent 1 season here.

Steve Young was horse crap until he went to a team that had a great coach, great players and a system that fit him....and even then he sat for years behind a older QB named Montana.

Lets tell the truth...Penny didn't have receivers like Duper, Clayton or McDuffie....well neither will Henne...lots of luck.

Still don't take into account you have to go after people who don't agree with you. And lots of luck to MIA. If Henne isn't the answer at least this franchise and fan base will know before its too late.

And Steve Young's accomplishments put Penny in the proper place...a part time QB who couldn't stay healthy for 2 seasons in a row.

I agree some fans are in such denial that they get offended if the truth comes out.

#1 we are not cleveland nor the rams (how many fins are playing there wishing they were here ?

seems like just yesterday we had zach , jason, madison and surtain not to mention we had a genius at tightend and two pro bowl wrs . oh how i miss those days.:boohoo:

Get your head out of the past and worry about the present. As much as I would love to revel in the glory days, it's just that the glory days, let's move on.... Since no one is gonna know what we are gonna be doing this coming week let's start with benching Ginn because most CBs and S know he sucks by now. Instead let's put in Hartline and Bess at starting WR and let's open the D up some! Now they know we have a deep threat they will be more inclined to call Pass D plays instead of stacking the box every play.
