stewart scotts dolphin diss......

What happened to stewarts eye? Anyone know, or was it just something he always had?

When you go 4-12, what do you expect. Just like in real life...you must EARN respect. When we start to win 8 games out of 10, then you'll see a different report. When you win 4 games out of 16, you'll continue to hear how bad the team is. Thats not bias.....thats facts.

Don't get your hopes up this year guys. Next year we'll start to see Sabans team, not a straggle of players not from Saban.

That's okay, Joe Theisman said Jets win the suberbowl against the Falcons, and the Falcons beat the Redskins to go to the Superbowl!

Redskins in the Championship game?????

For the record Stewart Scott is a Phins fan. At least he said he was in an interview one time.

Bear in mind that since the NFL/AFL merger that we are the winningest franchise ever...So it's only natural for folks to pile on when you have a 4-12 season...They may not have this opportunity ever again so they have to take their shots while they can. Let these dogs have their day...We have been blessed for 30 years so I think we can deal with one or two years of infamy.

Exactly. I was just about to post that. He also predicted us to play Carolina in the Superbowl two years ago.

Bro .......seriously, you guys need to get over it..........who cares. You act like it's some big surprise that the second worse team in football last year would get ribbed.

He is kind of right to find this a bit upsetting, it is not like Miami is a perennial loser every year, and if Miami had been hit only slightly by injury or loss of players, and still went 4-12, then yes, they deserve it hear this, But instead these guys are acting like vultures that have been waiting for a very long time, to see blood from a nemesis that they have been hoping to see go down. The reason Miami was horrible last year was due to losing a whole mess of key players, replacing an entire line with inexperience, and promoting a Coach with no experience as O-coordinator (All this in one year).

What did you want him to say? Until we prove ourselfs, we are still considered a weak team from last seasons performance.

Would have been better of him to say nothing, or actually pick another team that has proven to be among the lower tier for a much longer time then 1 year.

I cant believe Fin fans are actually surprised that we are being ribbed by the media, we were awful last year and have shown nothing in the pre season, we deserve what we get.

Exactly, if anyone should be pissed, it's the Bears fans. It should totally be San Fran alongside us in Scott's example.

......why don't you go hold a rally or somethin' ...........seriously.......... who cares..........

He will not have to, if Miami plays as well as I believe, Scott and all the rest can dine on all the crow they will have to eat.

Yeah served up by non other than Channing CROWder.:D

LOL, too funny. Could you imagine if the Bears and the Phins made the SB? I can see it now, the same Stuart Scott would be out there saying he "predicted" that very match up. Of course he will leave out the laughing part. Come on now. Who cares what people say. MUCH less before we have even played a game! Until we prove otherwise, we do suck.

Well, lets see...

1) Our starting QB is a career backup, who's history is to not be able to put more than 2-3 good games together at a time. Our backups are inexperienced.
2) Our OL is, at best, weak. No personnel changes from last years line that was HORRIBLE...
3) Our #1 and #2 WRs are ok to good. Our #3 WR hasn't played in nearly 3 years. Has potential but hasn't shown it yet, except a few nice receptions in the preseason.
4) Our starting RB is a rookie...albeit a high round pick and should do well, but still a rookie.
5) Our offense is running a completely different scheme than the past 8 years. It is a vertical passing attack without a strong QB.
6) Our DL has only one returning starter. Carter is a slight upgrade over Chester. Holliday can be better than Bowens. Traylor is not better than Timbo (when healthy) due to his age. Will JT adjust well to the new scheme ??
7) We are starting a rookie OLB vs. a 4 year starter. Now, Crowder, IMO will be better than Greenwood was, but he's still a rookie. We do, however, have stronger backup LBs than last year. How will ZT adjust to the new scheme ?? Can he take on the blockers and fill the run gaps like Saban's LBs are supposed to ?? How will the extra hitting affect his health as the season goes on ??
8) Secondary...what can I say...Our only returning starter (Madison) was arguably our weak link in last years' secondary. He is more vulnerable in Saban's D. It plays to his weaknesses. He is a year older. Can his knees take it ?? Daniels looks good, but again, another rookie starting, he'll get picked on. Jones has a known weakness in pass coverage. While his weaknesses fit better into Saban's D, it's still a question. Bell...can he stay healthy ?? He is, in effect, also a rookie starting...
9) Mare is coming off a second straight less-than-stellar season. Can he regain his form again ??
10) We play in the toughest division in the league. The Pats are the champs until they get knocked off. The Jests were in the p/os last year and at least improved their kicking game in the offseason. The Jills won their last 6 or 7 games until faultering at the very end. They have a beast of a defense, a good running game and experienced WRs...

Now, does Stewart Scott putting down the Fins seem to be so far fetched ?? We stunk the joint up last year, but have made improvements....Is it going to be enough ?? We are so used to being in contention every year, that some of us can't accept the fact that we just aren't that good a team right now. Will we be better than last year, yeah..I feel we will but will we be knocking on the doors of the Patsies, Jests or Jills....no....We can we make some noise during the season depending on how many of those 10 items listed above improve...

Stew's got love for the phins.... ESPN made him say that. Everyone wants to take a shot at the phins while they still can.

Agreed, every other thread is about the phins getting dissed by someone. Well we should and will until we start winning some games.
