of getting a good draft spot. I know we all want to see Miami win, I do too. but with the Titans playing well they could finish above us and put us in better draft position. next year we should be good and with a high position in the draft we have a better chance of grabbing the players we want.

worst records as of now

Oakland 2-10
Detriot 2-10
Arizona 3-9
Tampa Bay 3-9
Houston 4-8
Green Bay 4-8
Washington 4-8
Cleveland 4-8
Tennessee 5-7
St Louis 5-7
San Fransico 5-7
Minnesota 5-7
Miami 5-7
Pittsburgh 5-7
Buffalo 5-7

not sure about our placement among the 5-7 teams but we have a better record than 8 teams and are tied with 7 teams, that puts us anywhere from the #9 spot to the #15 spot. I know some people might blast this theard calling it negative or whatever but get real people. we aren't making the playoffs and the better draft position we have the better player we can get

Go to the draft forum before you get killed!

Good lord, I had to go to the draft forum just in case reading this would get me killed.

I hope we dont pick top 10. The salary caps of all these high 1st rounders is going to catch up with us soon

I would really rather continue playing well and winning games.

Going 8-1 to finish the season is almost as good as going 9-0. In fact, it might even be better because at 9-0 we'd have had a solid shot at the playoffs and even though we probably would have lost in the playoffs, the players wouldn't feel quite as stung by our 1-6 start anymore.

One reason we went 1-6 this year is because the players felt smug about the 6-0 finish a lot more than they felt stung by the 3-7 start.

Go 8-1 to finish this year, 9-7 and missing the playoffs, and no player is going to take any single game for granted next year from start to finish.

When I saw the title, I was convinced this was going to be another "we still have a chance for the playoffs" thread.

I feel much better now!

I know finfan, those flying pink elephants can be pretty convincing once they get into your head.
