Still No Explanation As To Why Our Defense Looked Gassed & Out of Shape????

Precisely. And this is another move by Bill Belichick to find any advantage he can over the rest of the league.

You'd need a quarterback like Brady to pull it off, and he has him.

So do you think they'll be able to do the same thing to the Jets? I don't think the Jets are very good. All they have is that defense and they couldn't stop Dallas. It took two unforced turnovers to win that game. If NE employs the same strategy against New York, do you think it will be just as effective?

On top of that, the no-huddle was engineered by perhaps the brightest coach and quarterback tandem in the game, and it produced extended drives that wore down the defense.
If I remember correctly, they didn't start using it until the second half so the coaches didn't have much of a chance to adjust for it.

The no huddle offense has been around since the Bills Jim Kelly used it in the 80's and 90's. The Houston Oilers with Warren Moon used it too. It is and has always been tough to stop.
...as long as it doesn't produce three-and-outs, because if it does, you kill your own defense. Unfortunately last night there weren't many (if any) three-and-outs, so it wore us out.

I don't think it'll be AS effective, because the Jets have better coverage corners, but I do think New England has a unique weapon with Brady at QB running the no-huddle. With his intelligence and command of the offense, he can essentially call plays at the line (after he's kept you from substituting personnel on defense) based on the defensive look and burn you just about every time.

And those two tight ends give him lots of flexibility. He can audible to a run or a pass, and those tight ends can become receivers or blockers, based on the defensive personnel and look.

We could be looking at another year here where the Pats pretty much steamroll through the league. We may look back at this game as a pretty stellar performance on our part.

That.

By moving so fast he doesn't give the defense any time to adjust or substitute players. Not only is he wearing out the defense but he's calling plays that are mismatches. He found the weakest links and exploited them and the Doplphins couldn't get those guys off the field.

God, I hate those asshats.
