I don't understand it, I've seen several posts yet again about how our level of play is not up to par, we're committing too many penalties, and if we don't do something about it we're going to lose. We rank in the top 3 in fewest penalties in the league, and we've won most of our games when we have the edge in time of possession. The gameplan to me seems to be score first, and maintain the lead in a SMART way. They're not scoring alot of points simply because why keep throwing when you have the lead. Don't take unnecessary chances and allow the other team to get back into the game off of one crazy interception for a touchdown, or one key play that can swing momentum the other way. We've seen that too many times in the past. If you get a field goal or a td and the other team can't seem to generate any offense whether their offense is inept, or your defense is playing really well, then take the points and sit on them. If you try and run up the score bad things could happen. Yes it's nice to have blowouts, but we're WINNING these games by playing SMART FOOTBALL. A close game point wise doesn't necessarily indicate that the opposing team wasn't dominated, all it means is that you're taking the necessary means to help the team maintain their lead and come away with a W. I'm sure if the time came and we needed to score some points the playbook would open up a bit. So can we lighten up on this craziness of thinking that since we didn't score 50 points that we're not playing good solid football
