I'm just curious as to the people out there who still think he's going to be available at he start of the season........

He won't take every snap this season. Harrington will likely be the starter for the first 3-5 games.

.........that's exactly how I see it playing out......... I don't think we would've even looked in Joey's direction had it not been the case that Daunte wouldn't be ready at the start of the season.

i dont think he will miss that many games i think he will be in a rush to get back which isnt necesairly a good thing but i dont wnat him missing that many games because i dont want to fall behind early and having all the pressure set on harrington

What happens if Joey comes in and just lights it up, and then D.C. comes in for , say, the 4th or 5th game, then proceeds to stink it up? How long do you give him to start playing better?

If u r right Nubs i wont be crying about that. I think with a better supporting cast and coaching, Harrington will be better than Frerotte/Rosenfels and they got us 6 game winning streak.

%$%@$%$@%$@54@ THIS QUESTION HAS BEEN ASKED 39430493109483098190890483901 TIMES

I think he'll actually be a "game time" decision on that first game. I hope he plays but only if he's 100%. I'd rather he not play and get fully healthy. Either way, Saban won't show his hand. The Steelers will have to prepare for two Qbs for that game.

not using sarcasm or mocing ...what are you basing this on?

Didn't you read the latest about his rehab? It's pretty much logic and let's not kid ourselves here.......his injury was no joke, to selfishly try and rush him back would completely ruin the investment. That's no high ankle sprain Mr. Daunte is sportin'.

My gut and common sense.

1. Culpepper has an injury that takes 9-12 months to recover from.

2. He had his surgery on November 15th last season. Opening day would be about 10 months.

3. Saban is not going to rush him back because Daunte is our QB for the next 5-7 years, just not 2006.

4. Harrington looks like he will be traded here and he is capable of caring the load for a few games.
