With out him in the lineup today we gave up 31 points and had no run stopping or tackling ability. I know we had some great plays and some key interceptions and held them to 3 points in the 2nd half but i think we now see the importance Crowder to this defense. He is the play caller and makes the adjustments AND has an intensity and leadership on this D man did we miss him today.

I hope he gets some rest and is ready to crack skulls next week in New York.

But some guys stepped up and made plays when we needed them and those last two or three defensive series where CRUCIAL this team has some serious character along with an incredible will and determination
 
completely agree. the D looked lost without him. i hope parcells gets to work re signing him.
 
Crowder needs an extension Monday morning...seeing the D without him was scary
 
He is a very good MLB. This is his first time in a REAL 3-4 and not only that he is the leader of the defense. He just need someone next to him that can make some plays its basically just him out there in the middle some days.
 
im glad some people can see how good crowder is for this defense.
 
You guys Do realize Crowder is the guy who has the helmet with the "headset" and gets the play calls from the Dcoordinator. He is the one who sets up the defense and calls the plays After hearing them from Paulsqualini* in his helmet. The defense is 100% lost without Crowder.
 
I don't think Thigpen gets enough credit IMO. He is the future of the Chiefs and that kid can ball so it isn't fair to rip our defense because the Chiefs are 2-12. They are a close 2-12. They could easily be a 6 or 7 win team. Crowder was missed yes, but no way was his absence worth 31 points.
 
sign Crowder + #32 pick on ILB and we'll see an immediate difference. torbor to the trashheap, with ayodele assuming the back up spot. we need an ILB who can pressure the qb up the gut.
 
I knew he was a key guy but OMG did today show he is like our Rey Lewis the heart ans soul and brings an intensity. We looked slow in the first half we couldn't chase down anyone we need him on the field.
 
how do you know it was MAINLY b/c of him? the tackles were horrible the attempts were horrible hte inability to do nething on d was horrible. only goodman did well today adn jones. so to say its b/c of crowder is rediculous.
 
Guys I was definetely wrong, I never realized how HUGE he is to this D, until we didn't have him ... we need to lock this guy up and give him his money.

I dont think its that big of a leap. We didnt have any intensity till midway into the third and no blitzing ability up the middle so no pressure in Thigpen's face leads to him finding guys all day.

We need Channing against the JEST which i think we will you would have to give him the wrong plane ticket for him not to lace them up next week.

yea htey are assuming its b/c of crowder but if they WATCHED the game our D was HORRIBLE. ZERO tackling, ZERO pressure b/c we coudlnt stop their passing offense but realized once we blitzed we stopped em. our D line was USELESSSSSSSSSS it has ntn to do wiht channing our D as a whole was HORRRRRRIBLE
