apparently the browns won't be keeping him when he gets reinstated next month. considering how good he was with mcnabb in phili, what does everyone think of the idea of signing him?

I do not hate the idea, but it may be in bad taste since the reason he was suspended is he killed a man in Miami. If he had a great career here his names would be all over and Miami, and the victims family would be constantly reminded of their loss.

It is crazy to me he will be back in the NFL a year after he killed a man, and Vick had to spend two years in jail for a killing dogs, but Stallworth spent only 30 days in jail for killing a man.

When your getting cut by the Browns it says it all.

Didnt Gibril Wilson get cut by the RAIDERS, he found his home in Miami.

You realize Wilson was probably the worst player in our starting line up last year right? That does not do a lot to prove your point.

Dante would not have been cut if he did not kill a man. That does not help my point, but I was trying to say he only got cut by the lowley Browns because of his off the field crap, not his ability.

Donte has never recorded a 1000 yard season, has had hamstring problems, and has not played in a year, so he is probably not the answer to our problems. That being said we could end up with a #1 wr for the legue minimum if we did sign him.

I dont want Donte either, all i am saying is dont say "oh, blah blah, he was cut by the browns, so we wont get him".

You actuall used some valid points in this post.

Stallworth made a very poor decision but is recovering nicely. I have a hard time feeling any sympathy for the victim's family after they agreed to a large sum of money over a lengthy jail term for Stallworth. Indicates just how much that family cared for him.

I would give Stallworth a shot. He has a lot to prove both on and off the field. He's better then Ginn.

at first thought...no.

maybe bring him in for camp though, see what happens.

he had better be cheap if so.

failed in NE. failed in Cleveland.

Playing the "either or" game, I'm in the Antonio Bryant camp as well. Stallworth never gained more than 985 yds and reached that neighborhood just once. He's not a #1 like Bryant can be and would only take touches away from the development of Hartline and Bess. As far as what he did, I have no reservations signing him from that standpoint. He waited around, manned up and took full responsibility, and even if his judgment hadn't been impaired he still may have ended up hitting this guy who darted across the Causeway without warning. Not an issue to me.
