This is my first post and i am glad that i can start off on this note. Let me ask all of you a question give me a dolphins draft class better than this one in the past 5-10 yrs? I mean this is the first class in which we adressed every need. 1. Ted ginn- He filled a need in both Wr cuz booker is gone and KR/PR since wes is gone if anyone has seen vids on this kid you will start licking your chops this guy is the real deal and we have Never had a guy with his speed and stuff.
2. John Beck- He filled our QB need and he is by far the most accurate Qb in the draft and also has legitimate Arm strength hes older than most drafted Qbs and is more mature he is a father and a proven leader and even if we dont get green i will be comfortable with this guy taking snaps.
3. Samson Satele- Could be the steal of the draft he iis versatile at both center and guard and will definetely be an immediate fan favorite.

In regards wth the rest of the draft our needs were adressed and we will be very proud of this class for years.
Just give it a chance Dol-Fans and lets forget about quinn and
believe in BECK AND GINN

Welcome to the board! I don't mean to come down hard on your on your first post, but name one bonafide starter in our draft class this year. For a team with as many needs as we have, and to come away with no bonafide starting players is horrible. I will give every player we drafted my support, but I honestly think Randy and Cam could have done a better job.

I was as vociferous a critic of Ginn before the draft as anybody, but I actually feel very good about the draft as a whole.

Name one bona fide starter? How about 4?

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Satele take over at center to allow Hadnot to shift to guard, Ginn assume the starting spot opposite Chambers, Beck earning his way to the starting job with his exceptional maturity and smarts, and Brandon Fields winning the punting job.

Rome wasn't built in a day and we still have a number of holes, but I agree with CK and Boomer that this is a nice start.

yes they could have done a little better but John Beck will probly be one of the better QB in years to come Because we will have Trent Green next year the Chiefs will be forced to rellease him there fore he can help John Beck on his QB skills Ginn Jr is a really talanted young kid who has good skills and lots of speed He can be dangrous every time he touchs the ball he ran a 4.3 in the 40 with only a 75% helled Imagine what he can do with a helled foot

See, this is the mistake you're making and everyone else...Cam wasn't brought here to try and win now...he was brought here to install a system that will produce for years to come...give Mueller a chance...he has been a star in the past in drafts and I hope 2 years from now every doubter can look back and see the big picture, where it starts, not lets win now by taking impact players, without a supporting cast around them to help them succeed. I as much as the next fin fan want to see them win and get back to the dominant force they were, but lets face it my brutha...it ain't happenin' overnight...JT and Zach may go ringless, much like another 1st ballot Hall of Famer that deserved one and never really had the cast of characters around him...(ol 13...:shakeno: )

Bonafide means without a doubt. You can't say that Satele is, without doubt, our new center. Satele is talented and has a mean disposition (which I love), but he also comes from a run and shoot offense where he snapped out of the shotgun and running the football isn't like it is in the pros. I think Satele is a good pick, but he is not a bonafide starter.

Ted Ginn, Jr. is an exceptional athlete and may end up becoming another Joey Galloway or Terry Glenn. But he needs to get healthy and needs work refining his route running and becoming a complete wide receiver. Is he a bonafide starter? Eventually (I hope to Christ he is!!!!).

As for Beck, I think the worst thing in the world for him would be if he was thrown to the wolves and started right away. He does have talent, but he faced inferior competiton and may need work with his delivery.

I hope Fields (the punter) is our starting punter, but I wouldn't brag about coming out of the draft with a starting punter.

I hope all these guys work out and have very successful careers for us. But they all need significant work in some form or another before they are ready to start.

You seem to have misunderstood me. Never did I say, "We need to win now!!!". We simply don't have the personnel on offense to be a legitimate contender and no GM/coach could have turned our offense around in one draft/FA.

What I am saying is you need to make your picks count. Drafting Ted Ginn, Jr. at #9 is a pretty big risk, maybe too big of a risk for our franchise. I hope the guy is just as explosive as he was in college, but drafting a 175 lbs. receiver at #9 is very risky.

And like it or not, Cam/Randy/John Beck will always be judged by the success or lack of success that Brady Quinn has in the pros. Cam seems to think Brady Quinn was a wildly inaccurate passer. I disagree with him. I hope to Christ he's right because I can't stand to watch another bungling GM and struggling QB combination any more.

Didn't mean to offend you and I certainly didn't mean to put words in your mouth. It just seems that all I've read on this forum is negativity towards this draft and it's only 2 days old!! You are correct that Ted Ginn was a reach but no one wanted to trade up and from what I've seen from Quinn, he may have been worth that pick. But he didn't get picked and I wasn't surprised at all really. You are right about Cam/Randy/and Beck being judged by the success, but not by Quinns success, but by the success Beck will have with the supportign cast that the HC/GM will put around him. I certainly wish Brady the best and hope he has a good career, I just hope if he is leading the Browns to Conference Championship games each year, that it's our team that they have to go through...

I loved the later rounds and think that the early rounds have a shot to be good if a couple guys pan out. Speaking of these guys I was wondering if somebody could tell us thier projected stats in madden. Somebody did last year for Jason Allen and Derek Hagan and it helped me pass the time till I could see how they did in real life.
