Ok look, I know that all these negative comments probably don't impact the players at all because they probably don't read them, but it does affect the fan base and the home crowds.

People we had a 4 - 12 record last year and we were lucky it wasn't 2 - 14 with how pathetic we looked on both sides of the ball from the kickoff of the season opener to the final whistle in week 17. We even sucked in our bye week. It was miserable did you guys forget that???

We blew out a good team when we beat denver, we hung with but lost to a playoff team from last year. We had some bad plays, but we had some good plays too.

I'm not willing to hang Chambers our to dry b/c he missed a couple passes, so does moss, and T.O., and Jerry Rice. Chambers makes some of the most acrobatic catches I have ever seen, he made feidler almost look good at times and he will do it again this year probably several times so GET OFF HIS BACK.

Ronnie Brown did suck in this game, but the jets were playing basically a run stopping D and a short 20 - 25 yard zone, and all we did was try to run the ball and throw short to the flats. They had our # this time, they probably had a microphone in the locker room or something b/c they had our offense pegged. Anyway, Ronnie Brown will be awesome for us in the Future if I'm saban I start Morris, but brown will in time 6 - 8 weeks down the road start looking very similar to barry sanders, mark my words cause this kid is far from a bust. He will be lighting up the league by week 9.

Our secondary ok they kinda suck I'll give in to that but Saban is a DB specialist he will get them straitened out, and once we get daniels in place of Howard I think our passing D will start looking a lot more worthy.

For my final thought we were a terrible 4 -12 last year we have a new Dline a new QB an entire new coaching staff, a new secondary and new schemes on Offense and on Defense. It's the second game of the year and we look like a very solid competative team.

ALL YOU NAYSAYERS GO VISIT A JILL'S ,OR JETS, OR PATSIE WEBSITE AND SPREAD YOU CRAPPY WASTE OF MY READING TIME DOOM AND GLOOM.

that's all I have to say about that.;)

oh yeah, I almost forgot the O-line has played hands down better than what we saw last year.:)

No, actually it probably has no effect whatsoever on the home crowds. It's patently ridiculous to ask people not to criticize the performance of the players, particularly after such a disappointing loss where the opposing team gave us so many chances to win.

I pay for my game tickets, I have the directv Sunday ticket and if I want to biatch because our guys lost a game they could have/should have won, I will...sorry....

I have no problems with Brown yet, because you can't blame him for the crappy OL play and stupid, drive killing penalties. You can't blame the WRs for off-target passes...(some due to pressure this week, some due to just under/overthrowing, throwing into coverage and some behind/short of the recievers...).

What concerns me the most is that this season is how (up until last year) most of Wanny's seasons started...The D is expected to carry the team, and I'm not convinced that it can...the secondary is too weak. Eventually, if the O doesn't wake up, the D will start to not be able to continue to carry the team...remember the last 4 years...same thing happened...

But I do have to acknowledge something postive...so far, even tho we have not been perfect, we have been IN both games (obviously we kicked Denver's butt) but this past game, with a different play here or there, could have been ours...(one less penalty, one caught pass that was dropped, one on target pass, etc). It was nice watching the game and feeling that we could compete with the Jests...even tho we eventually lost...

The D is still the streangth of this team and they will have to carry us some. What I love about Nick though is that he went out and got a very aggresive O cordinator and has actualy let him do his job. I know we arnt having the succsess we want but as long as we can keep this staff together it will come.

I pay for sunday ticket every year as well, all I'm saying is we are playing 10 fold better than last year and fin fans everywhere need to recognize that. The jets outplayed us. They played well. It hurts to say, but on that day they had the luck, the bounces, and they out hustled us when it matters. Saban if anyone needs to take the biggest hit this week for not making the needed adjustments and stopping the short passing game the jets ALWAYS beat us with. All in all we lost this as a team though. Wr messed up but also did well, QB messed up but did well, Dline played very well, Madison played well but the rest of the secondary was on and off (mostly off unfortunately). Last week we one as a team. Every position played almost perfectly.

All I am saying is stop fingerpointing. Brown is not a bust, Howard had a miserable game, but he has been inconsistant his entire career and we should expect that. THe Oline is MUCH improved, the running game will work once we show we can pass in a few games to scare some people with it, and frerotte even though I hated getting him at first is a definate upgrade at the QB position. Just cause we got a L instead of a W doesn't mean we need to all condemn our players to hell and say so and so is a bust or we need to cut so and so.

JUST BE GREATFULL FOR WHAT WE HAVE AND THAT IS A MUCH MUCH IMPROVED TEAM

this team is a work in progress and i believe by the end of the year will start to come together. we may make it to 8-8 if things fall our way. the future is bright and we have to have patience. unfortunately i think our time will come next season with another set of draft picks and saban having a year under his belt to mold this team. the positive is that each week we will have a chance...unlike last year!
