Wk 1 leading rusher - Culpepper 19 yds
Wk 2 leading rusher - M.Bennett 36 yds
Wk 3 leading rusher - M.Moore 101 yds...(Culpepper had 300 yds/3 Td's)
Wk 4 leading rusher - M.Moore 57 yds
Wk 5 BYE
Wk 6 leading rusher - M.Moore 57 yds
Wk 7 leading rusher - M.Moore 45 yds

vs. T.B., the Vikings trailed only 17-13 with 6 minutes left in the game. Minnesota had exactly 31 yds rushing at the time.

vs. CIN, the Vikings trailed 17-0 with 5 min left in the first half as a result of 2 punts and a M. Bennett fumble...Culpepper had no turnovers at the time.

vs ATL, the Vikings trailed 24-0 at halftime. None of ATL's points were the result of a Culpepper turnover. Minnesota had 25 yds rushing and Culpepper was sacked 4 times in the 1st half.

vs CHI, the Vikings trailed 7-3 midway through the 3rd qtr. Culpepper had no turnovers at the time and the Vikings only had 53 yds rushing.

The only thing I can clearly blame him for is not learning the new Vikings offense...other than that?

Hmm Culpepper's in for the first seven games and the Vikes are terrible. Culpepper goes out and Brad Johnson comes in and the Vikes almost make the playoffs. Something's got to give.

That's already been addressed in another thread...the defense inproved markedly in the latter half of the season...AND the O-line greatly improved later in the year as well.

Just look at the points allowed.

i couldn't agree more.... without a running game your screwed..that team was a wreck from the get go..the defense wasn't playing well,no WR,no RB,and no line what do you expect a Qb to due under those situations

People still aren't getting it. They keep making stuff up to blame Culpepper for everything.

The stats are simply there to back up the point.

This isn't even worth discussing any more. The more positive information you give, the more people are going to tear it down. There's no going back now. He's here and it's a done deal. We can only hope his 6 bad games out of 80 are not the norm going forward.

Culpepper didnt have a running game. The vikings defence stucked in the first half of the year. Their defence got better after Culpepper got hurt. The offence didnt improve much after Culpepper got hurt. Their defence help the vikings go on that 6 game winning streak.
