He only scored 2 T D's in 3 years. Yeah, he made some big plays for the fins and his toughness will be missed. A 2nd. rnd. pick is well worth it for the overall production he provided.

A 2nd AND a 7th...Who's crying, I for one and happy to get the picks out of him and after the arrogant remarks he made, am VERY happy to see him go and cannot wait for Zach to light him up next year

I'm pretty sure we can find an even better replacement for him. And I hope Zach hits him so hard, his helmet and shoes will fly off!

Who's crying? We got a 2nd for Wes Welker. A SECOND FOR WES WELKER. Oh and a 7th rounder, which is probably what he's really worth, just a 7th. Guess what? Wes came into this league UNDRAFTED. Jesus, we so won this deal.

My thoughts exactly. The day you trade an undrafted player for not one but two draft picks is an incredible victory.

Why cry about it? He is gone and won't be back so whats the use. IMO his negative comments about the Dolphins negated any good things he meant to us. If someone decent comes in and does the job Welker will be forgotten anyway.

wes welker is now the enemy. he's a patriot and no one needs to be crying that hes not in a dolphin uniform. look he was decent here, but if you look at the numbers he still only had one td. ok he caught some important balls to gain first downs but if you don't score you don't win. he didn't even do anything for the dolphins on special teams. i say lets forget about him...maybe now one of the young receivers on the team (i.e., Derrick Hagan and Marcus Vick (which i doubt)) can make an impact now.

Ummm... Not crying but honestly I feel that it was not woth it. I mean i know players come and go but Welker was the heart and sould of our team last year. He may not have had a lot of TD's but he did lead the team in receptions, but what can you do?

If any other team would have given up a 2nd and 7th and paid almost 5 mil a year for a guy no one wanted 3 years ago and scored 3 TD in his whole career they would be killed by all the morons at ESPN but NE does it and its the best deal ever and they are on ther way to the Super bowl. I liked Welker but I'll take a 2nd and 7th any day.
