Why is everyone so down on drafting Weeden and Tannehill when our new HC was part of an offensive system that took Flynn to the top of FA in 2012. Lets face it, Henne had no velocity at Michigan. Since Marino we have had two good Qbs. Pennington didn't need coaching he was a Pro when he got here. Fiedler was a one and done. Our problem has not be Qb's, it has been research and development! We have two guys who have had made their names on developing Qb's for their system. So whomever we draft will have been researched to show he can be developed in a WC style offense in Miami and succeed. Flynn can come in a run the system and be a coach on the field for that drafted QB. Moore will be a solid three and if he can't make it up the depth chart they will let his contract run out or trade him for a fifth/sixth/seventh draft pick given the chance.
ITS OBVIOUS THIS TEAM IS MAKING A ROSTER TO FIT THE SYSTEM AND THAT MAKES COMPLETE SENSE!
Marshall was a bad trade only because we could ideally have gotten more. However, removing a player that lost us two conference games with dropped balls early in the season and whose contract did not match his play was smart for this team. HIS PRO BOWL GAME WAS AGAINST A COVER 2 PEOPLE NOT A DEFENSE! I think he can be a beast but he is not the player he was the first time Cutler through him the ball!
The problem with us fans of the Dolphins is we have had no true leader in management so we automatically assume all this will screw us because we didn't get what Darlington or La Confora said was best for the team. It sucks but we have to give Philbin and Sherman their fair shot. Ireland is not making these calls on his own. Everyone knows he is not that smart and Ross has made clear he is not a football guy but a man who signs the check. If it fails well it isn't like this a new thing for us haha. However for now stop crying and trust these guys. They made flynn a multi millionare and he was a 7th rd draft pick from a LSU team that ran the ball. Sparano is gone so to NY and for that we can be thankful!
