This has been the mantra of the majority of this board all offseason. "We needed Ryan and not Long" "Doesn't matter what else we have as long as we don't have a good QB" "QB is the most important position on the field" "Every Superbowl winner had a great QB". Well let's see how good a QB is (and Chad has been playing good) if they can't run the ball or give him time to throw.

I am confused. Are you telling people to stop *****ing about the o-line? Or are you telling people that the quarterback in the problem???

I believe your O-line is the most important position(s) to be filled on a team. A good line allows any runner to be successfull (see Denver under Shanahan) and any decent QB with alot of time becomes better. Some posters here think that a great QB is all that is needed to be an elite team; I'm saying that it doesn't matter who your QB is if his line sucks.

I'm pretty sure he s saying there's other things you need besides just a QB. And he s basically saying our o line sucks.

Ok. Then the title of the thread is very misleading. Comes off more like we need to quit complaining about the o-line.

After reading his post it becomes clear his title was meant as tongue in cheek type sarcasm. You're making it more complicated than it is bro.

Lost me on that one

I understand what he is saying. Peope have been complaining for a long time that you don't take a LT over a QB because QB is the most important position and that you can fill in the line elsewhere. Now, we have a QB playing well, but a shaky offensive line around him, so we will see how right those people who were against offensive lineman were. IF they were.

A couple decent preseason partial games, and the qb position is solved. I Love It !!!!!!

Sure man!!!! Whatever makes you happy this morning.... I don't like Henne..But he showed great leadership, great improvements and NO INT's in 2 games... At least, give him a chance and the benefit of the doubt with a new OC..

umm... with no oline, we won't be able to run the ball, which will really hurt Henne... not to mention that the pass protection from the right side is nearly non existant... I'm much more worried about the oline than about Henne at the moment.

Last year Green Bay's O-line was awful and they still won the super bowl because of Aaron Rodgers and their recieving corp. We don't have Aaron Rodgers, we need all parts to work to be successful.

After the draft I was ticked we didn't get a QB but when I looked, on paper, at our O-line I was instantly concerned about what we have. My main concern was both guard spots since we didn't address it in the draft. Now that's grown to include the RT position. So what we have is a pro bowl LT, an average LG, a ROOKIE Center, a below average RG and a swinging freakin door at RT. The fact that Henne couldn't even step up in the pocket to buy some time is a huge concern. Marino couldn't make this line look any better and he had the quickest release in NFL history. O-line has been my main concern since before week 1 of the preseason. Check my posts if you don't think so.

i woke up this morning thinking i would come on here and we would have for sure made some signing to try and fix this debacle of an oline...instead we've done nothing...awesome

i don't think it will happen but if the packers decided they want to get out from chad clifton money and cut him i'd be all over that guy...wishful thinking i guess
