STOP the insane Cutler merging!!!

I understand why you would merge the existing Cutler threads. But now let the merged thread die and allow a new one to be created every couple days.

If you merge every new Cutler thread into the merged one then you are essentially stopping all discussion of Cutler because there's no way anyone reads 87 pages.

Also, could you please leave any thread that has a link to actual game video of Cutler alone. Tons of people on here have been searching for such video for months. Finally a few weeks ago we found highlights of Cutler's UF game and now there is 2 full games video. That's VERY important and should have it's own thread.

While in your perspective, people don't want to read through 87 pages...conversely, there are people that don't want to wade through 87 threads all about Jay Cutler.
We macek judgement calls, and will continue to do so.
You may not always agree with them, but we've found that we can't always please everybody.

For instance let this Cutler thread die and then merge all Cutler threads into a new one every couple days. So you have one Cutler thread every couple days and when it gets to like 10-15 pages, you let it die and start a new Merge: Cutler thread. There has to be some balance.

We do try to have balance... unfortunately, it's not as easy as one might think when you're dealing with hundreds of threads/day, and only a handful of staff to attend them.
We are making a concerted effort to be consistant and fair, and appreciate your input. We want FinHeaven to be the best it can be for everyone here, as, I'm sure, do you.

I wrote an interesting post about Ben/Eli/Philip and comparing them to the Leinart/Young/Cutler but because the word "cutler" appeared in the thread title it was merged.

You guys are inconsistent on the threads that you merge and your definition of what's a similar topic is so watered down that I could write a title saying Cutler and talk absolutely 99% about something else and you'd all merge it.

Can you actually address the customer cause seriously the way moderation is going lately I'm fearful of even posting. I mean why make the effort if the thread is going to be buried.

I know personally I don't read these dead forums cause the only posts in there are the ones that got moved as it's clear the 'majority' of your users don't agree we need forums for some topics. Also it's also very annoying to read through a thread of some 100+ posts from 5 merged threads that have no continuity or flow and your left half the time going 'why is he saying that here?'.

You can enjoy threads such as http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/showthread.php?t=121472 while you merge halfway decent topics into oblivion never to be read by most. I've never been a problem in the how many years I've been around except when having to deal with moderators who do really odd stuff and then don't give any answer as to why.

I don't know which thread you're referring to, so no, I can't "explain to you " what they had in common.

I think you're wrong about that...in fact, I'm sure of it. The majority of the users have no problem with, and are actually glad that there is a semblance of organization.

It's also very annoying to wade through 100+ threads, all on the same page, all on the same subject.
You may not agree with all our judgement calls, we may not agree with yours, but we are certainly above calling you illiterate or lazy, simply because we don't see things your way.

Keep the posts in the proper forum, and there will be no problem.
Post threads related to the draft or free agents in the main, and they'll be moved.
Consistant abuse of that is a violation of TOS, and you'll end up with time off.
Feel free to renew your VIP membership on 9/7/06 so you can continue to post there as you indicated.


BTW - it's spelled "McMichael" ... perhaps you should change your user title. Just a helpful hint from the illiterate staff.
