It is killing us. Seems like we just give the other team the time to change up their play and sub to gain mismatches. I say just take a chance and let it play out. Can't be any worse we lost 2 last min games because of defensive timeouts. there i said it

The timeouts against Green Bay made no sense. I agreed with the timeouts against Detroit.

Yes, but we could also pick up a first down on offense here and there when its crunch time, that would help. Have someone make a play. I wish you could have all heard the Joe Rose show Monday. This stuff has been going on for years timeouts or no timeouts

Agree. It has not really shown to work this year. It just allows teams to get exactly the call they want after they talk about it on the sideline. They can match up personnel and get a matchup the like a lot easier. Outside of giving our line a rest it does not really give us an advantage.

This team just doesn't know how to finish, and to me that's because of inexperience and poor coaching... We've only played two close games all year and we've lost them both, which is obviously not a good sign.
I think that this game against Buffalo will be close, can we change our close game lack of success? Is this coaching staff worth half a ****? We'll find out.

Sure we can play the "shoulda-coulda-woulda" game with making this play here and that play there but that's football. Some times you make the play and sometimes you don't. What isn't good football is how Joe Phibin has DIRECTLY contributed to 3 losses this season with his daffy use of timeouts: right before halftime of the first Bills game, end of the Green Bay and Detroit games.

Don't get me started on how Coyle only rushed 3 on Detroit's final drive. I'm tired of this franchise playing not to lose instead of playing to win.

I'm curious do people really think that other teams DON'T take T/O in some of those situations? Also, Its not hard to imagine posters making threads about "WHY DIDN"T WE TAKE A T.O.?" Hilarious really! We just need to execute better in those situation bottomline...

I'm not going to give an opinion on this one way or another, but I do distinctly remember a couple players (Grimes, and 1-2 other players) throwing up their hands in frustration on that final drive when WE called the time out.

Wait wait wait so you are saying that we lost @ Buffalo because Joe didn't let RT run a two minute offense when the protection was breaking down right and left. We did lose by 19 you know.

Momentum. Get down there and kick a field goal. Just do something, especially considering Tannehill plays his best in the hurry-up 2 minute offense.

And if I recall correctly, the next play was an incomplete, so the timeout wasn't bad.

Or we go 3 and out and give them back the ball to score before half time. Our offense was complete dog**** that half...I would have bet the farm that we wouldn't have marched down the field.

Defensive time outs just give the offense 1-2 more plays. Stupid unless you need to because you only have 10 men on field or you expect them to score and are trying to preserve time for your O. Philbin and Morono both seem to call them just to collect their thoughts.
