Strength Of Schedule

Agree! and yes Tampa, unless derailed by multiple injuries, looks like it will be a favorite to go to the big dance.

I’m not seeing it. Schedule looks pretty tough to me. Tampa however does have a joke schedule, not be surprised if they repeat.
We play 9 games vs teams that could be starting a rookie QB or a different QB from 2020. I’d expect to play Cam week 1 and Jones week 18, so it’s realistically 8 games. Either ways, that alone makes the schedule fairly soft.

It is what it is. Opponents win % can be misleading.

We play the Jets twice, Jacksonville, Giants and Houston.

That a huge amount of losses last year that brings our % down.

These never mean much from year to year as so much changes in the off-season. Playing a vastly improved Patriots team on the road to start the season is tough, then the AFC East champs in Buffalo, Vegas who start hot each year in Vegas, then the AFC North champ Colts, and the SB Champ Bucs in the first five games is the hardest in the NFL IMO. If we start 3-2 things are looking bright.

Can't have it all. No December games at NE and Buff, and the neutral game at London thus give us an extra home game. What else do you want.
Our team this season should be at the level of not scare of any team we play.

Overall it might not be a hard schedule but early on it is. The first 5 weeks will be hard, specially for a young team like ours.

Given the injury history of our team, especially the receiving group, i rather play tough teams early.

Well, lets just say that TC and pre season games will matter for us with that early schedule. The O-line needs to work together since there's a good chance we have only one guy returning to the same position he played last year(Jackson), we have a new offense with two new OC's.

At some point a lot of you are going to have to come to the realization that Miami is a better team than in previous years. Yes the competition gets better, so do we. We are close to the point where other teams say, "sh*t, against Miami? That's an L". Best believe Patriots fans aren't sitting there saying that's a W anymore.

It's not an easy schedule, I wouldn't put it in the top 5. Top 10 probably.

NFL has to make sure King Tom continues to make the big dance a few more times to add to his legend before he retires.

I just booked my room 12/1 thru 12/6, staying at the Wyndham in Deerfield. 8 of us are coming down for golf and to watch a thrashing of the g-men Brus room better watch out! We have a storage container with all of our tailgate equipment, oh I can't wait...

Fifth easiest at this early point...

Strength of Schedule is irrelevant. This whole list won't matter, a bunch of team's 53 man roster are bound to be extremely different because of the amount of free agents, and rookies coming up. If anything, before the season started we were suppose to be a tough strength of schedule. But our 10 win season in a way could be attributed by the fact that we were 1-4 against teams with a winning record so the majority of our wins were by teams with a losing record. The only team we beat with a winning record was the Rams, and that is because they matched up very similar to us.

I have learned that looking at a schedule before the season as being easy or hard is rather useless. Because injuries happen during the season and what appears to be a tough game or an easier game really comes down to the injuries on each team.

The game against the 49er’s going into the 2020 season looked like the toughest game on the Dolphins schedule when the schedule first came out. Yet the 49er’s were decimated with injuries to key players by the time they played the Dolphins and the Dolphins won the game easily.

So while the schedule doesn’t appear hard compared to the schedules of some of the other teams. Just like every other season, injuries will have a lot to do with how hard or easy the schedule will end up being for the Dolphins.
