I always thought we had a talented team but would struggle due to the strength of scdedule. However i am starting to think that our sched might not be as hard as once anticipated. I know teams like the jets and chargers wont be cakewalks but the jets looked absolutely terrible this week and the chargers didnt look to good either. Those were once games on our sched. that looked like sure fire looses but now they look like winnable games. Kansas city, buffalo, and new england our obviously tough matchups, but i think we matchup pretty good against carolina, tampa bay, and cleveland and think we could win those games. Overall our schedule is still challenging but it looks like we are capable of putting up a decent amt. of wins and will be competitive all season.

The Chargers are going to be tough. They didn't look amazing yesterday but they looked decent and you have to remember they were without Gates. I think that game would have gone the other way if they hadn't benched Antonio Gates.

Judging the schedule past on record's from last year makes no sense. And besides, every game in the NFL isn't an easy one.

The question will be can the OL improve more and how bad will Gus hurt us until then. He was mediocre at best and that was after I watched the game a second time....(BTW, that NFL Sunday Ticket short cuts is great, but not worth the extra money to me). Gus was misfiring much of the day, but he was close enough that the receivers were able to adjust...some of that is them not completely on the same page, as he has split time with AJ all preseason, but some could have been turnovers and miscues against a better team...Carolina had a bad game, but remember that the Sts are a division rival and those games are always close...(although for the good folks of NO, it couldn't have turned out better from both a football and a release standpoint)...They match up well against our D (power run game, however it's possible that with Saban's D, that type of traditional Fin-killing offense might be different.) Look, it's way too early to get very excited, but it was a lot of fun to actually win a game and win it convincingly...

Well Larrry it was just nice to see a QB get it in the remote vicinity of a reciever for a change. I couldn't be happier! One more season with Opie Taylor and Jimmy Nuetron I was going to have take my own life.

We've got a damn tough schedule. After yesterdays game.. I'd be inclined to think we can compete against anyone. Its hard to let go of all the disappointment here the last few years...

But beating the Jets next week will go along way to remove doubt.

The good thing about the schedule, is that some of the higher rated teams may not be as good as they were last year. Denver is a good example of that.
