Strief to Miami?....

Some very curious tweets from his agent. Kind of confusing to be honest, but it doesn't sound good for the Saints. He is really talking up the Dolphins front office.

Now this would be a nice li e rebuild, forget Shelly smith (will compete) but Albert- -pouncey- -Streif would be a great base for a significant improvement over the past few years

People getting excited about Strief again from @RalphCindrich tweets, but looks like he's saying Miami would've had shot but Saints back.

Looks like it was tweets defending Dolphins against perception the Strief not coming for visit was reflection of Dolphin dysfunction. False alarm. Cindrich doesn't know how to communicate on twitter apparently.

Yesterday I was told Strief turned down visit from Dolphins because he was getting ready to go back to Saints. Maybe that's changed now.

Hope this isn't another 'Lets use the Dolphins' type talk.
 
Make him an offer see if the Saints can match it then move on.
 
Ok, sorry his agent has now posted that there is no change from yesterday just a clarification that Miami visit was never 'cancelled' because it was never set-up. HOWEVER, it does sound like Strief may not get to stay with Saints. I would take this as his agent making sure any fences that may have been broken are mended in case they need to go to Plan B. Sorry for getting anyone's hopes up but that is why I put the question mark in the subject line. It looked promising, given that it was coming from his agent and he referred to Miami as a great place for a fresh start.
 
I cannot think of another RT option. Seems that he wants to stay in NO, but I don't think they have the money. Seems like a deal we should be able to close. I hate the idea of relying on a rookie RT. I also don't view any of our 2013 tackles as options.
