I have long been a strong critic of Ted Ginn Jr... As have many of our fellow fin fans on this site... But yesterday, i was smacked with the thought that i might be wrong.

He showed his speed (which has been doubted in many occasions) he showed great catchablity, running and fighting to make that 46-yard catch on the opening play. He showed he can take a hit. and he gained confidence and dependency on him from his QB.

Teddy showed durability, taking hits that would have layed out a regular old JOE Ginns' size.

7 catches... 175 yards receiving.... From our 2007 first rounder 9th overall pick. Im as surprised as the next guy in alot of ways, but then again, not so much so. There was alot of hype to this kid, and doubts of him living up to those expectations. I was one of those doubters. but yesterday, Ginn showed he CAN BE one of those named along with the Elite small number 1 receivers in the NFL along with names such as Steve Smith and Santana Moss. Im proud of Ginn for his work ethic and happy to get proven wrong by his actions on the field...:clapping:

all we need now is consistency

on a side note : For all those guys doubtful of Pennington, yesterday he showed on several occasions the ability to sling the ball downfield. And as a person who i myself have suffered torn tendons in my shoulder and torn rotator cuff, Im happy for Chad for putting down all you non believers...

yeah im a ginn basher ill be honest he looked real good yesterday, im still not sold on him yet though...no fear on the slants i love that out of wide recievers...if pennington had a better arm he would have hit ginn on the run on the first bomb, but im still happy i hope they can keep proving me wrong.

yea. if he can show to be consistant with this playing style, ill be happy to be proven wrong.

I've been cautious with Ginn (I've been rooting for Henne, ill be truthful) but one thing about Ginn's speed, part of me wanted to see him blow past the defenders on the 64 yard bomb for the TD. Yet I didn't see it, maybe I was just caught in the camera's positional illusion.

it looks to me like hes trying really hard to make plays happen...maybe sparano sitting him early in the season was just a well though out strategy to get to play hard. Being mached up against baily this weekend will be a true test of what he can do.

I was also suprised that he didn't blow him away but Whtiner hard an angle and he isn't exactly slow. he ran a 4.4 at the combine. I think he might have been better off just trying to beat him to the sidelines although he did turn him around with that move, the linebacker was just hustling down the field and tackled him.

I think you should watch that play again. Ginn did blow by the defender but Penny under threw the ball by 10 yards. Ginn had to slow down to get to the ball. If Penny throws it 10 yards further he hits Ginn in stride and it would have been a TD.

My bad, you we talking about the slant that turned into the 64 yard pickup. I think if he would not have tried to juke the DB he might have had a chance.

Champ bailey is out i think. that beeing said, i believe Ginn, Cam, and Bess have a big game vs Broncos

Bailey's out of commission for a few weeks,so it'll be whoever Denver puts on him....

Yea, I'll just leave it to the angle and how the TV camera was positioned. I don't know though, kinda leaves you wanting for more.

i think whitner had the angle on him, he made the right move.

That being said. Ginn is fast but not really much faster than Whitner. It might have came down to who had more juice on that play.

I honestly have no idea how the fans can bash on Pennington.
He's the best QB we've had since Marino hands down.
