Stubhub experience?

Same thing happened to me for Bengal Dolphin game 2 years ago. Never got in the game. They refunded money but I spent a bunch of money setting up birthday game for my daughter. I will never use StubHub again after that.
If I recall, you’re in ohio, so hopefully it didn’t totally wreck everything .

Imagine flying from Canada to Italy to get f’d lol

I sell concert tix as a side hustle and use StubHub frequently. As a buyer I would much rather buy off Ticketmaster as they are the actual source of the tickets anyway.

If you go to the game are you planning on tailgating? I ask because if you pull the trigger on tickets halfway through the first quarter, there are killer deals out there as you will have the opportunity to buy tickets at a very steep discount.

I purchased tickets to the U.S. Open next year and am running into this. I'm supposed to get virtual tickets in May. I'd feel better having physical tickets in my possession. I ended up using Seatgeek instead of Stubhub and had to download the AXS app.

I purchased tickets to the U.S. Open in 2016 directly from the USGA in April 2016 and was sent physical tickets. I picked up an extra on Stubhub in May 2016 and was sent a physical ticket for that as well with zero issues. The whole Virtual/electronic ticket thing is unnecessarily cumbersome. Until I purchased my tickets this year (for next year's event), I had no idea the ticket process went 100% electronic.

No, we watched the first half at a bar on the river front on TV. I bought birthday dinner and then Tua got knocked out. We left after halftime.

That would really suck coming from a long distance and then not getting your tickets.

My friend sent me some tickets to a concert in Nashville thru that app. It worked out well. I have been watching SF-Fins tickets on there. Probably buy some in the next few weeks using AXS

Stub Hub was the company sued over refusing to reimburse people for events cancelled during Covid. Would never do business with them.

I used to swear by Stub Hub until I walked up to the gate for a Miami Heat playoff game and was told my tickets were invalid. I was eventually let in, like midway through the first quarter after dealing with several different folks in management. Never again.

Now I primarily use Seat Geek and Fanimal…… or Tickets At Work!

This is the second time in a year that I've had this experience with StubHub and I'm wondering if this happens to everyone regularly. I purchased 2 tickets to the Miami Rams game on Monday night Via StubHub the day the tickets were available paid about $631 for seats in the C 223 section Row 7. On the StubHub it gives you a progress tracking icon and it says your purchase is confirmed and it lists the exact tickets that you purchased. It also says that you need to download the tickets as soon as they receive them from the original seller. So fine, I waited a month before the game and still said pending. I called up customer service and I asked them where are the tickets and they said to hang tight until the Saturday before the event. I mentioned that I was not comfortable with this as the year before (Chargers game) They had in fact given away my tickets to someone else and I had to scramble to get their " replacement seats” if they were available or receive a refund. In that case, they were able to find end zone seats - which were inferior to the original seats I had purchased but I ended up going to the game anyway (and it was an awesome game season opener). But what if they couldn't find any replacements? They offered a “full refund”, but that’s complete BS if I had full travel plans already paid for - or any other reason - whatever the reason offering a full refund is nowhere near adequate compensation.

So the same thing happened to me this year. It's Sunday night evening before the game and a message pops up on my StubHub page “sorry your tickets are no longer available”. I was livid, and I was able to select comparable seats (I don’t know how), and I'll be going to the game with my dad, however just think if they came back to me and said it's all sold out, you're out of luck. Here's a full refund.

Right now I want to sue the hell out of this company. A normal practice for brokers? I always thought when I purchased specific seats that the broker buys the seats early on - within the first three months of the transaction - apparently not. Has anyone else had this experience - the one that I've had two out of two times in two years? Where do most people get their tickets from? (Ticketmaster? LA Rams? - I seem to recall not being able to purchase from the Rams directly at the time).

Regardless I'm looking forward to this game. I was very impressed with Tua and the offense last week and I think this could be the start of a long winning streak. Last year at the charger game I honestly felt like the stands we're 50 percent Miami fans and the team could feel it. Miami fans are gonna show up. Run the ball using Achane, Wright and a careful Mohstert. Use the passing game to keep the chains moving (Hill, Waddle, Cracraft and Smith) and let’s hit them up top when they pull the extra man down into the box. Let’s Go. Fins Up.
When you are waiting, can you cancel the purchase?

It is beyond shady if not. Your money is basically held hostage until the owner decides if he got a better deal?
