Hi everyone,

I'm going to be in Miami for the first week of December so I wanna catch the Dec 6th game against the Pats. I was wondering if it would be cheaper to get tickets from scalpers or whether I should get them off a site like Stuhub. Or if you know any other alternatives.

Thanks,

You might want to stay away from the scalpers if you don't wanna get shanked. I would probably go with stub hub. You may have to pay a little more, but you can get really good seats. You know exactly what you will be getting and where you will be sitting prior to actually finding your seat.

A LITTLE WARNING TO MY FINHEAVEN BROTHERS!!!! My mother was scammed by Stubhub, she was sold fake tickets to a suite at Raymond James Stadium for the USF vs WVU game. The tickets got her in the main gate, but when she got to the Suite she was denied entry for lack of a stamp.

Stubhub refused to stand do anything about it. Luckily for her she purchased them with her American Express Platinum Card. For those of you who aren't familiar with AMEX they are 100% behind the customer. They have a world class fraud department and they stepped right in. The charge was immediately removed from the account and it wasn't until the fraud department hit Stubhub with a sledge hammer that they did anything! Until that point they stood by their line that they are a middle man and not responsible. Just a warning to everyone!

I use ebay I get great deals and usually get them for less then face value.

You should try ticketmaster to see if you can get anything at face value... If not, you should try Ticketexchange by ticketmaster....

i just got my texans tickets from stub hub, first time i've used the site...
the tickets look legit, but is there a good way to make sure?

You would be better getting them off of Craigslist when you are in town than from a scalper hanging out outside the stadium. The Craigslist crowd tends to be honest season ticket holders who just can't make it that day.

I have used Stubhub plenty of times and I have been very happy with it, though with the way Stubhub works, I am not at all suprised with Flynryans story, I would imagine its hard for them to verify the authenticity of every ticket. You might get a better deal from a scalper because there is no one to moniter the purchase(last time I got tickets to a game, you were not alowed to sell them for more or less than face value), but the risks there are pretty obvious. Given the option, id say Stubhub hands down.

I get all my tickets off of ebay the best way to get deals is wait a week before the game. Bid at the last 20 seconds on the max you want to spend. Ex. I put in 220 and got the tickets for 193 and face from a season ticket holder was $80 and on stub hub those tickets would have cost me $150 a piece these were lower level seats

Same way I do it. You may be nervous waiting til the last minute to but tickets, but within a week of the game ticket holders are just trying to dump the tickets and get any money they can for them.
