See this is sad, we have Randy McMichael one of the top 5 TE in the NFL and he goes off to do this crap. Is it so difficult to just stay out of trouble, you know we consider these people as heroes when in reality they are just regular people and some are STUPID to the extreme. Now there are heroes, like Pat Tillman; he risked his life for his country, he is a superstar. Then you got another Dolphin Ricky Williams - LOON, POTHEAD; I looked up to this guy and after the stunt he pulled i can never really look at him in the same light i did before. Then you have the great athletes - LaDanian Tomlinson this guy is a superstar, he stay out of trouble; works hard and gives back to the community. Many athletes are heroes, but then you have the dunces who go out and do criminal/illegal/immoral activities off the field. On the field they are superstars but off they are just Trash. I like Randy but i cant understand why he would do such a stupid thing, and Jamal Lewis; thats a whole nother story. Alot of these athletes come from horrible lives so im 90% positive its from that but it's also a choice, they have a better life and can forget about the past but they hold on to it... and thats messed up. Go Dolphins! STAY OUT OF TROUBLE RONNIE!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! AND EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE DOLPHINS ORGANIZATION...you know who you are... RICKY!

We've got Jason Taylor, probably one of the best all-around good guys in the league. Then we've got Randy McMichael, who clearly has a problem.

I don't fault the guy for losing his temper. Everybody does that. I fault him for not controlling himself. He may be in a bad marriage - clearly, I think this is the case. He may have a problem with alcohol. He may simply be a violent person.

I'd be perfectly accepting of McMichael if he responded by admitting he has a problem and seeking professional help in one form or another.

yeah practically everyone would be accepting; because they are a icon, but if it were just a regular person; just some average joe, everyone would turn on him. Obviously thats life and popularity gets you some leniency towards the law and other matters. The sad thing is i would be accepting also, but this is his SECOND offense, you think you would have thought things through a little bit; and these are icons for our kids. Thats even worse; pot-heads, roiders, wife-beaters, drug abusers. Not all athletes are like this but there is a substantial number of them in the league and in all professional sports.

Guys,

Remember, Randy has been convicted of nothing. These two incidences have been ALLEGED, not confirmed to have happened. It sounds as if there are differing stories regarding this last incident. It is always easy for the woman to allege something like this happened. Even if it turns out not to be true, the guy always looks bad in this situation and is branded a wife beater. Never accuse someone of something until he has been found guilty.

OJ wasn't convicted of murdering his wife, what's your point?

Two "alleged" beatings of his wife (one when she was pregnant and one with eye-witnesses) is unacceptable no matter who we're talking about. Just because she may not press charges doesn't mean it's ok.

a solution is ,for me to be named associate commissioner of the nfl and give me the authority to discipline these guys i will be compasionate , tough , and morally sound idividual. i will fix these players by doing these things.

for first offense i would give the player a hearing and if he is guilty i would suspend him or her for 3 games and get them the help that they need.

for second offense . i would review their case then if warranted i would suspend the player for 10 games and make the player sign a affidavit stating if found in violation of a 3nd offense would be subject too a 2 yr suspension .

for a third offense a permanent ban if the evidence is accerate.

I WOULD GIVE PEOPLE A CHANCE BUT I WOULD LAY DOWN THE LAW .
BUT DONT GET ME WRONG ! I STILL BELIEVE THAT RANDY ISNT THE ONLY GUILTY PARTY HERE.

Its never ok to beat your wife, or any woman for that matter, thats just ethics; no matter how intoxicated you are; and if you know that alcohol makes you do stupid crap then DONT DRINK, YOUR RICH, GO BUY A YACHT OR SOMETHING. hope i spelled it right...

He's nothing more than another wife beating athlete at this stage. No matter what he says this is the second time it's happened and it is quite frankley inexcusable this time around. I could care less if he's a great football player for us this BS is getting old, and these guys make far too much money so they can always buy their way out. Saban needs to put the foot down on this one two. He made an example out of the last player now he needs to do it again. Maybe not cut him but give him a healthy team suspension to go along with the League suspension that will be forthcoming. Not probably going to be anyones buddy with this reply, but hey enough is enough...

I totally agree once is too many and i think yes shaking may be ok.... lmao

He'll probably come off clean just like Michael Jackson; who "ALLEGEDLY" had sexual relations with like 30+ children and touched them in their happy places. It just shows how fame/money can buy even people, even judges. Not saying they were bribed but when your a icon you have power, your fans will get behind you 100% of the way. :fire: :shakeno:

H2Ronnie23 obviously has an agenda. You just started posting and your only posts are about McMicheal.

"Cawanna McMichael, who had several drops of blood on her shirt, told police that she had accidental contact with her husband"

Lets wait and see what transpires!

Once is alright. You get the benefit of the doubt. Now, again, like last time, he's drunk and it went alittle further. He needs to either separate from his wife, or go thru some alcohol abuse or anger management classes.

Yeah i just started posting, and i decided to talk about something I think is wrong. I didnt know having an opinion on something is having a agenda. Next time you criticize someone ill make sure to say you have a agenda as well. As if im planning to bring down Randy, did you notice how i also spoke about Ricky, Jamal Lewis and the others. Yeah i have a agenda, and its to get these so called "heroes" on the field, to act like men and role models towards our children. Whether they like it or not they are role models and our children look up to them. It's the wrong message to be sending to our children. Thats my agenda, and Im a Dolfan that doesn't stand for crap like this. Nothing against you man but . . . alleged - why should you even put yourself in a situation like that... Pat Tillman is a hero, and i spoke well of him so i have a agenda against him too i guess, by your standards.
