Suck for Luck is officially in full swing.

yeah lets keep mike nolan and his craptastic soft coverage scheme...i don't give a **** if he walks too...he's way overrated round here

i like barkley no question but i think he's a guy who needs to sit for a little while before you throw him to the wolves...i think lucks the guy you can put out there from the jump

Hypothetical: We stink up the NFL all season, can Sparano/Ireland, bench/cut Henne, hire Cowher and then through some miracle of mortgaging basically all of this year's and next year's draft picks we acquire Luck and then the unthinkable...

He's a terrible NFL QB! It's happened before, and I'm sure will happen again one day. A guy looks like a million bucks in college but it's doesn't translate to the NFL. Do we have a mass suicide for throwing away our team on the hope of one guy panning out for us?

Of course I don't think that will happen, I think he'll be a phenomenal QB for whoever gets him, just curious what everyone's reaction would be if our savior arrived and then totally disappointed us after putting all our stock in getting him.

i take the chance on andrew luck...he's the kind of qb prospect where i'd be willing to put all my chips on the table for...this kids da goods...you want to turn your long term franchise outlook in one swell swoop...land andrew luck in the draft...he's that kind of guy...god would we be so lucky to pull it off

i think i'd ball like a preschooler if we got the #1 pick...finally light at the end of the tunnel

What would change? If all those things happened, we'd suck as we do now and have for the last 10+ years. We really have nothing to lose. Personally, I'd feel better because we took a chance.

What have we got to lose? Hey, I applaud Henne for improving and clearly being a better QB this year, but he's still no great shakes and this team's still garbage. At least we would have TAKEN A CHANCE.

And incidentally, I think Cowher is overrated and Mike Tomlin proved that Cowher was NOTHING SPECIAL as a head coach.

lol @ WV taking a shot at Nublar for saying something that could happen. Yet WV was hoping for henne and the team to suck going into this season. What would be funnier is if we actually got Luck and he didn't live up to his hype (which probably would happen)

At this point I'm lost. Luck won't save us and I dont know what coaching staff will. I feel its just a bad aura or bad luck surrounding us. Please don't thank me because Luck is the prize and our savior and I wrong when I say he won't save the franchise, but we will never know because we won't get him.

You guys are going to jump all over this post but I have watched Stanford two times this season, vs. Duke and Arizona. He didn't look that good to me, I know he ended up having big games against both but he looked average at best in the first part of both games. Sorry if anyone is offended but Arizona and Duke suck, for him to come out slow like that worries me. I loved what I saw from him last year and I would still draft him #1 but part of me wonders if last years Luck was part Harbaugh.
