suck for luck?? or jump for jones??

I don't see luck getting bumped, but barkley could jump jones....

jones can really throw the rock man, I'd be happy if we took him with the #2. although, our last #2 didn't really amount to much, so suck for luck it is.
 
If your refering to henne as our last #2 he was the 4th qb selected that year, 57th overall. Landry Jones > Henne.

Carson Palmer has been an outstanding QB in the NFL.

Matt Leinhart drank a lot of beer.

Matt Barkley is legit and has the swagger to make it in Miami.

Lane Kiffin has helped Matt Barkley IMO.
 
Palmer was pretty good before that elbow injury. Hell, you can argue if his knee wasn't hurt in the playoff game against the Steelers, they would have won. Leinart has screwed himself over.

Jones is a great prospect in his own right, but my big concern is how many INTs he throws in a system where other QBs did not have near the turnovers he has.

By that logic, it's a good thing we didn't go with Aaron Rodgers, because Kyle Boller absolutely blows.

Palmer has 22,694 yards, 154 TD's to 100 picks/ 86.9 QB Rating...yep he sucks.

Plus he played for one of the worst clubs in the NFL.
 
I dont understand the Aaron Rodgers Kyle Boller thing, what does that have to do with anything?

They played well for the same team in college, in the Pac-10 no less; so they both clearly suck in the NFL.

Simplified, I'm shooting down the Barkley to Palmer and Leinart comparison based on where they went to school.
 
I see your point. I just think Barkley has the highest chance of being a bust out of the top teir qb's.

I'm inclined to agree with you, not because of him going to USC, but because of what I've seen. Regardless, we are in no position to be picky. If one of the three is available when we pick, we have to go with him, or the new coach needs to be fired already.
 
i really think we got a good shot at the worst record no way the vikings can keep losing the colits are our biggest challenge they look dreadful
