I gave Henne one last shot at the start of the season. With that said, I am pretty impressed with his decision making. No more robo Henne, the guy can actually run fairly decent. Henne is playing very well, but we need a change.....we need the fans to go to games and say wow, we have a legit shot at a title run this year. Of course Luck isn't going to do that for us all alone, unless he really is the next Peyton (see 2011 colts). Lets go all out, 2-14, 1-15, whatever it takes. Get the pizza man out, get these fake over rated, over paid defensive guys out. Before anyone says I'm a fake fan, let me just say, why should we continue to put up with this? Why is every other team improving, hiring the right guys, drafting the right talent, signing the right guys? When is it our turn??? How many years can one person take?? Why do all of the all-time great phins laugh at this current slop on the field?? What once was a great franchise has turned back into a pumpkin and a rotten one at that. Let's put an end to it this year. Who's with me?? SUCK FOR LUCK!!!

As bad as this team has played, they aren't anywhere near as bad as the Chiefs, Seahawks or Colts. All 3 would take Luck in a heartbeat so there would be NO chance of trading up.
The Colts situation really burns me up. They get the pleasure of watching Manning for so many yrs and then he gets injured and they may be in a position to pick up a young QB just as highly touted coming out of college.
We've had 3 shots at a franchise QB since Marino retired, Wannstadt was just an idiot for passing on Brees, Saban wasn't sold on Rodgers (there wasn't a league wide consensus and many teams passed on him). Parcells obviously wasn't sold on Ryan. Actually, I think Ryan is a bit over rated, so I don't have any gripe about picking Long.
There haven't been any highly touted QB's in the years the Phins picked in the top 3. Luck would be that guy, but I don't think the Phins will have a realistic shot at him.

Matt Ryan is overrated, but John Beck is the unluckiest, most under appreciated superstar quarterback just waiting to break out that the NFL has seen since he managed to string together an entire drive during the preseason without turning the football over?

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here, and conclude that your QB evaluation skills are somewhere between Sparano's game management prowess, and Jeff Ireland's public relation skills.

If Matt Ryan wasn't a highly touted QB the year Miami had the #1 overall pick, then there's never been one. Nor will there ever be.

The problem with the "suck for Luck" principle is that we have to be the worst team in the league and that's not going to happen. While our FO and much of the coaching staff are terrible, we have enough talent to get us some victories regardless of how bad they do their jobs. there are a bunch of teams that look worse than us and have a legit shot at only winning a couple games. We will probably end up winning about 6-7 games and finish outside of the top 5-10 in picks (no top QB). But the real key will be then to get rid of the FO finally and get someone with vision. Or at least has a clue.

Luck may still be a longshot, but if we lose this next game to the Browns , we can start thinking about Landry Jones or Matt Barkley.

I have hated the notion of this suck for luck bull**** during the offseason, but I cant say it hasnt crossed my mind after the past 2 weeks

You can suck for Luck, but KC really sucks.

I hope this thread is a joke. Anyone that thinks their team should lose on purpose for a better draft spot is....I don't have the words to describe. I can however picture Tony explaining it to the team "Alright you guys. I know we've got more talent than anyone out there you guys...we guys are great...and you know you guys...you guys deserve a round of applause you guys. But listen you guys, we need you guys to lose every game so we can draft a new qb. Now Henne is great you guys, he makes the throws, you've seen it. But the fans want more you guys." His NJ accent is just awful.

I think he's John Beck's father

no joke. the only joke is what the franchise has become. if you want to sit around and watch 6-10 7-9 8-8 average seasons, by all means go ahead. but whats the difference between 7-9 and 1-15? it isn't playoffs, how about the number one pick and a true franchise QB. not saying i don't like Henne, but maybe we can trade him and start the rebuild. i'm tired of getting my hopes up EVERY year. for what? 7-9? no thanks, i'll take another 3 and a half months of losses for a long future of possible greatness.
