Maybe bonus points should be awarded to the thread starter of threads that meet certain reply goals, like if a thread gets 100 replies, the thread starter could be awarded an extra amount of Phin Dollars.....
 
Because if someone posts a bone-headed idea like making Zach Thomas our punt returner, I can assure you that they'd get 100 replies in short order. :wink:
 
I don't think the software would allow for it, but it would actually be nice to see the number of dollars granted vary based on the rating of various threads.

Totally agree.

If someone makes a "one star" thread they should get Phin Dollars taken away and any thread rated 3 stars or higher should get a bonus.

I would'nt want to have to try and code that one though...LOL!

Will the warning system get tied in with this system? Can people expect Phin Dollar penalties plus the warning points? Will those who go on ban have their Phin Dollars reset to 0?

I have another idea.

Why not award a bonus for each "post count" landmark you reach?

When you get to 1,000 posts you get 100 bucks, 2,000 posts you get 200 bucks etc...

The fact that I am 50 away from 10,000 is TOTALLY coincidental in regards to this suggestion...LMFAO!

While I think a penalty with a ban is a good idea, I think reseting them to zero after a ban is a little harsh. All you have to do is read some of the threads in the main to know that sometimes verbal altercations are totally called for...

I know, argueing on the internet is like winning in the Special Olympics....

That being said, I've been banned twice (once was a misunderstanding, the other time the guy NEEDED to be called out). I don't think in either circumstance it should have warranted more of a penalty then the night off.
 
Guys, the plugin is set up by the developer. We are not prepared to re-write the (literally) thousands of lines of code.

As for the rating system tie-in...the poster gets points every time his/her thread is viewed so an interesting title goes a long way.
