He's now a JET (traded from Clevelend). I thought he might make a good backup option for us. I hope he proves me wrong!

Good. Suggs is the walking wounded. If they're lucky, the Jets will get 8 games out of him. The Jets are desperate right now without Martin, and this signing only proves how little faith they have in Houston / Blaylock....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I don't see why everyone thinks that these scrubs are any better than Sammy. This is just a "grass is always greener situation" imo

Please

Lee Suggs is infinitely better than Sammy Morris, Cedric Houston or Derrick Blaylock.

He's definitely injury prone, but he's a starting caliber running back in this league and the others are not.

Show us some stats that would prove your statement.

Whhhhhhhhhhatever.

Lee Suggs, what has he done to make him better than Sammy, et al.

That's what I thought, thanks.

wow, when did Sammy become better than Lee Suggs? I guess I didn't get the memo

That's because you never bother to read them.

A memo like that doesn't exist. Maybe as an all around player who can play 3rd down back and play special teams. However as a pure runningback who runs the ball, Lee is a better one.

i'm not sure about suggs because i haven't seen that much of him but sammy morris averaged 4 plus yards a carry in the terrible 2004 season. the season where our line was similar to swiss cheese. anyback who can do that earned my respect and i'm totally happy w/ him as our backup. my guess is that suggs would have gotten hurt behind that line.

Suggs may of gotten hurt, however he would of made the team much better and actually have defense worry just a little about stopping him, unlike Morris who was not respected and teams couldn't give a rats butt.

That 4 yards per carry thing is one of those many things that show, stats do not show everything.

Based on what - this isn't college! What has he done in the pros? Potential - gets you a bag of peanuts in this league. To say a guy who has done zip in the pros is infinitely better than a guy who has shown some consistency over the years is crazy. I'll tell what - based on what I saw last year that kid Houston runs awful tough. I would not be so quick to say Sugs will even play much.
