Suggs passes physical, practices with Dolphins

DAVIE – Running back Lee Suggs passed his Dolphins physical and participated in Monday morning's practice.

Claimed off waivers Sunday from Cleveland, Suggs has an extensive injury history that raised questions about whether he could pass the Dolphins' medical exam. Suggs reportedly failed a physical last month after being traded to the New York Jets, which nullified the deal and caused his rights to revert to the Browns.

Great news! I was worried he might not pass his physical. I think it's funny how he failed a physical only a couple of weeks ago when it was for the Jets. Now, he's just fine.

I see Suggs in the same role Lamar Gordon was in early in the season when he came over. Running the simple plays and getting about 6-8 carries. This way we can get Ronnie 20 carries and keep him fresh. However, I'd like to see Ronnie get about 25 because he is a guy who gets better with each carry.

I heard the Jets medical staff intentionally flunked Suggs because they found out Barlow would be available

It would appear that the report that the Jets only failed Suggs b/c they wanted Barlow and subsequently learned that Barlow's price was less than they expected may be true.

Im very happy with Suggs... i was hoping for another big back... Minor can continue to be that scat type player.. But i like adding a big bulky pounder in the backfield...
