i've asked this a few times but have been unable to get an answer. will lee suggs be suited up and ready to play on thursday? he hasn't had much time to learn the offense. but in the role that he will be used, they could probably give him a crash course. anybody have any info?

He will play, but in limited offensive schemes. Saban says Suggs is a quick learner and he plans to play him, but will keep the offensive sets simple for Suggs since he's had so litle time to learn our offense.

saban gots special packages for him to run i heared, on offense, instead of giving him the whole playbook right away

Here's his Sept. 5, post practice press briefing:

(On Lee Suggs and his progress made so far) – “He’s really done a better job than what we anticipated in terms of being able to learn. He does have some speed and is very athletic, so that’s a very good complement to Ronnie (Brown). Travis Minor will probably have a role in this game as well. He’s done a nice job. He’s a good receiver. He’s got good hands. He doesn’t know 100 percent of the offense, so when he’s in there, we have to make sure that we do what he’s capable of doing to this point, but he also has quite a bit of time to learn. A lot of the stuff is similar to what he’s done, especially the running game, somewhere else in his career. It’s just called something else, so it’s more terminology than it is really all new football.”

I am so afraid of putting Suggs on Special Teams......I can see him tearing or breaking something.

front page but yes he will!

i kinda like this lee suggs guy when he isnt injured.
i follow the browns pretty closly cuz my cousin is a big fan of them.
i actually like him better as a backup to ronnie than sammy morris

I am def . happy about this pickup. he has good vision and is fairly fast. Dont be suprised if halfway down the road he isnt competing for starter.(If he stays healthy)

r u crazy dude al he need is more awareness n he can be a really good back

if we only use him for specific packages, isn't that going to tip off the opposition every time he's in?

Yes and no. Yes if those packages are only running plays. No if those packages include various passing plays. As with most veterans, it's about learning the teminology than the plays.
