Did some digging on google for pics, nice spread. Kind of looks like Hulk Hogan's old house in SoFl.

Miami Dolphins superstar defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has just bought himself a nice mansion on the Intracoastal in Fort Lauderdale, according to records.

Suh, who’s on a six-year, $114 million contract, spend $6.5 million cash on the home in the Coral Ridge area of the city.

A real estate source said the defensive force, who just arrived from the Detroit Lions, went for the deal because the house, fully rebuilt in 2013, is just one bridge away from the ocean.

And because it gives the 6-foot-4, 300-pounder 16,000 square feet worth of luxury space!

Broward County records show Suh paid $500,000 lower than the asking price. The deed was made to a trust that doesn’t bear Suh’s name but is based in suburban Detroit.

The seller was bank card pioneer Gary Palmer, who originally bought the place for $750,000 in 2009.

The house boasts six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a movie theater that comfortably sits 11, a wine cellar and 100 feet on the water.

The former University of Nebraska star, 28, is said to be one of the league’s financial gurus. So, you have to assume that if that football thing doesn’t go as planned, the property will pay off for Suh in the end.

The views look fantastic. I'd never want a house that large though b/c I'd feel like a target. But good for him.

Nothing Dolphin related shall ever escape the eyes of Daytona Fin

Good to see Ndamukong has found a place to live. The big fella isn't slumming it. Stylish and classy.
Good luck to him.

Great deal I hope he invites some homeless over for dinner and and a movie!

LOL.

Guy who owned it before bought it for $750,000, sells it for $6.5 million.

:hclap:

Was rebuilt in 2013, I'm sure he did well but your forget renovation expenses, I'm sure he did well but way less then the 5.75 you speculate...

I was just going to say how does any house in Florida go from $750,000 to $6.5 million from 2009 to 2015? I know the real estate market isn't that hot in SoFl. Looks like some nice upgrades.

In this market, it is MUCH more likely that the previous owner got a steal when he purchased the property for $750,000. He probably raised whatever structure was there and re-built a new mansion from the ground up. The 2007-2010 real estate market here was quite depressed, and it's quite possible the very original owner was either over-extended and foreclosed, or the previous owner was able to get it for a tax lien payment, or it was bank owned and underwater. It was very common for premium properties like this to be well over a $1M just for the land, without the house on it, and people would knock down whatever was there, and re-build mini mansions from scratch on it.

i wouldn't have pegged Coral Ridge as a potential destination for Suh, but the house is very nice.
