SN: You’re big into business, and it sounds like you have a good idea about what you want to do when you’re done playing. Does that make you think you’ll have a shorter career than you would otherwise, since you have such plans for yourself?
Suh: No, I think at the end of the day, for me, I’m a person who likes to balance my time. People don’t really understand that outside business and things of that nature that I have going on does me a lot of justice in football. A lot of people think all we need to be is football 24/7, 365 without understanding that the psychological brain loves for you to have multiple things going on.
For me, obviously I spend 70-80 percent of my time on football during the weeks. But when I have off time to clear my brain and focus on other pieces going on in my life, it keeps me fresh in football. It’s about having good time management.

He could be a Unicorn Farmer in his free time for all I care. Just smash QBs and RBs on Sunday!

He really is an impressive guy and the more you read about him the more it becomes apparent. Just goes to show sports media is no different than the main stream media in the fact they report stories they want you to believe instead of the unbiased truth.

He appears to me to be a very intelligent individual every time I see him being interviewed.

I think some people tend to forget many of these guys are actually far smarter than the average guy - they are not simply the stereotypical dumb athlete often portrayed in movies.

I hope Suh has a good long HoF career in SoFla.

His talent is so wasted on this team, I would feel sorry for the guy if he weren't making a truck full of cash here !

Sports media is just a subset of the media in general. I recall a time when it was just the hilights and scores. Its definitely gone downhill the last 2 decades & we have the empire of the mouse (disney) to blame

Disagree. I think those of moderate intelligence are more common. If you were to look at Wonderlic scores; for every Alex Smith/Ryan Fitzpatrick, there IMO would be at least 4 Roethlisesberger/Marino types & 2 Vince Young's.
