Piece from PFT on Neal's article http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nfl/miami-dolphins/article60990477.html

First, he’s a fan of new coach Adam Gase. But he also remembers the thrashing they gave the league’s best offense last year, filing that away for future reference.

The Dolphins held joint practices with the eventual NFC champion Panthers last summer, and the practices were intense enough that the Panthers reportedly asked the Dolphins to dial it back the next day so they could work on their pass protection.

“There was a team in the championship [game] that we destroyed in camp,” Suh said, via David Neal of the Miami Herald. But it doesn’t matter what you do in camp. It matters what you do through 17 weeks during the year.”

Of course, what the Dolphins didn’t do over the course of the year cause the change at the top, leading to them hiring Gase.

And while the 37-year-old Gase doesn’t have experience as a head coach, he was willing to take a gentle poke at one of the guys with more job security than he has, as Suh said the new coach mentioned his body composition during an early meeting.

“I love coach Gase,” Suh said. “In my short interactions with him, he’s a great coach. He’s very fiery and competitive. He was talking about my weight the other day and said, ‘I see you’re at only 17 percent body fat. I thought you’d be better than that.’ Things like that. Him being nagging, at the same time having fun with it.”

I'd rather have Suh overweight than Lacy. That mother****er cost me to leagues this year! I started Lacy over West...... That still hurts lol.

And that was the last anyone has seen of adam gase...

Haha i think suh is in pretty good shape for a dt but hey nice to have a coach that keeps the foot on the pedal and always expects more.

Hey, might as well get in some good ol fashioned ribbing in before any scrutiny of your coaching abilities determines if you are a likable guy or not.

it was a joke.....Quote- Him being nagging, at the same time having fun with it.”

What a relief.

I think Coach Gase might just be what this team has needed.

So far this offseason, Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh’s bounced around the world; met Dolphins owner Stephen Ross on Ross’ home field to talk real estate; took a jab about his body composition from new Dolphins coach Adam Gase.

And Suh enjoyed all three.

That’s kind of important for Gase. While nobody knows until a crisis moment whether or not Gase can command an NFL locker room’s respect, it doesn’t hurt to make a good first impression on the one Dolphin with more job security.

"I love coach Gase," Suh said. "In my short interactions with him, he’s a great coach. He’s very fiery and competitive. He was talking about my weight the other day and said, ‘I see you’re at only 17 percent bodyfat. I thought you’d be better than that.’ Things like that. Him being nagging, at the same time having fun with it."

The Dolphins invited several potential season ticket holders to "An Evening with Ndamukong Suh" at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. In between Suh answering questions from former Dolphins defensive end Kim Bokamper, Dolphins Chief Marketing Officer Jeremy Walls tried to sell fans on the changes to Sun Life Stadium.

Suh finished the season with 61 tackles, second most in his career, six sacks and five passes batted down. He joked he recalled exactly one play on which he didn’t get double teamed – "(Houston) forgot about me. I got a sack" – but he considers it a sign of respect to be double-teamed and takes pride in beating it.

Can't be. He's a product of cloning Joe Philbin and Cam Cameron. I read it here somewhere in one of the "Don't you dare be optimistic, I'm a realist, I know for a fact that Adam Gase is a fraud, come kneel before Zod after three more 7-9 seasons, we're all doomed" threads.
.

If Gase thinks Suh is fat I wonder what he said to Phillips. Probably made him cry.

It must be the off-season if Suh is at 17% body fat.

This is from Sept 2015.

Cian Fahey @Cianaf

Ndamukong Suh says he's 16% body fat. I'm guessing that's a really low number for a DT.

I think Gase was kidding alright

Suh looks like he may have been at 17% body fat last season.

He looks huge in that clip
