Suh showing up tomorrow is great news

We just signed him to a huge contract and this is great news?:chuckle:

I don't think it's big news just like him missing those voluntary ones wasn't big news either. Let suh do his thing.

all i care about is leading by blowing up qbs

And getting that new big boy rookie to play to his capability, each week.

Glad he's showing up now, but wouldn't exactly give him credit for leading by example just yet since he's one of the only ones who has not been coming to everything already.

I remember reading about Suh when he was a Lion.

There was some friction because some players felt he only showed up to off-season team functions when cameras were around.

However you spin it, if he is the only one not showing up that cannot be a good thing.

If the team makes the play-offs and gets at least to play two post season games it will be worth it, otherwise....

Not so sure...

Great news, he's got to learn our defense even though its been simplified. Also has to get Phillips' ass in gear.

The thing is: if Suh has a fantastic season nobody will remember if he attended OTAs or not. Only if he has a subpar season will he be criticized for missing out on any voluntary activities. And rightfully so. I don't care if he's there but if he better be good this season.

Let Suh do what he does....he has never came to camp out of shape or not been ready to play....

I don't think he has ever been considered a leader and has never said he is one. Let him do what he does best and torment offenses.

Not sure playoffs would be the guage for Suh's success; Winning and making the playoffs will defuse most of the question marks: Tannehill's long ball, Philbin's abilities or lack thereof, Middle linebackers, Offensive line guards, cornerback, etc. Don't make the playoffs and everything will blow-up starting with Philbin.

Seriously, why would he not show up?

The voluntary ones were about what I expected. Show up early to acquaint yourself with your new teammates and then continue your normal routine.

In general, most, if not all players, show up to OTA's . . . UNLESS there is a contract issue or the player is an impending free agent looking for a new contract. This is not the case with Suh.

Suh attended all of the OTA's in Detriot during his career, except last year, which was the final year of his deal.

Less about "leading by example" and more about being a regular NFL player.

Plus there is a $15,000 workout bonus tied to his contract. May as well show up and get some extra tip money
