Going by what I have seen, we are talking 114M over 6 years, $60M guaranteed, and $40M in the first two years. Here's a simple solution to start.

We give him an $18M signing bonus, split over 6 years @ $3 a year, and $1M in his first year salary, $4M cap hit and $19M of guaranteed money covered. Year #2, $26M guaranteed salary, $45M of guaranteed money covered. 3rd year, $15M salary guaranteed. All guarantee's are done.

The 54M balance can be averaged @ $18M per year.

MANY other options which will work, and in no way putting us in cap hell.

Signing bonus can only spread over first 5 years.

I expect the signing bonus to be about $20 million, and his first year salary at about $2-4 million and his salary in 2016 will be about $16-18 million.

His cap hit in 2015 could be about $6-8 million and in 2016 it could be about $20-22 million.

Thanks, my mistake. However, we have to keep the first year cap hit at a minimum to sign one year deals, and next year will be very high because of all the space we will have.

Tannehill's money will not impact until 2017, and by then Grimes, Wake, and maybe Albert's hits will be likely over, in addition to $20M added to the salary cap. We're in good shape in spite of the HUGE deal.

Well putting it like that, it doesn't sound so bad

In crunching some numbers for next year, without Wallace but, with Wake, Albert, and Grimes, we could end up with $40 after paying Suh.

So SB, just for this year, let's say we sign Suh/cut Starks, what is our cap looking like currently? Also including the rumored Ellerbe/Wheeler moves.

Running out of players we can just axe to save cash... I'd like to restructure or get Fields to take a pay cut... He really needs to bounce back this year

Doesn't the team salary cap go up about $10 million every year? Or was this just for 2015?

$114 million contract, with $60 million guaranteed

Uh, wow. We better hope that Suh never gets hurt.

Well, I cannot say that I'm too excited about not only getting one of the league's dirtiest players.

What is much much worse is getting a player that did not care at all where or who he played for, he simply went to the team that paid the most money.

That makes him the highest paid Whore in the Brothel and we are simply the John that paid the most for him.

We are sitting at around $10M under as of today. If we cut/trade Starks and Ellerbe, we add $11.6M. If we go long term with Clay and Pouncey. we likely save around $8M, and either cut Fields cap hit or him is another $1.5- 3.9M. Wheeler Post June 1, covers the draft.

Bottom line should be around $30M.

I project it to go up at least $10M each of the next 2 years. Hard to see past that.

God willed it for "Father Philbin" to take him under his wing, and correct his evil ways. Praise The Lord! :)
