I did not see this posted. A few interesting notes.

"If an offensive player did something impressive during both of Saturday's mini-camp sessions it was a pretty safe guess that he was beating Jason Allen on the play."

"Derek Hagan also had a productive afternoon, making a few highlight reel catches. Most of them included him shoving his defender (at least once that guy was Allen) to the ground, then making a nice wide-open catch. But Hagan does have the habit of catching the ball with his chest, not hands, and that could continue to be problematic."

"On defense, Abraham Wright stood out during 11-on-11 drills in the afternoon. He had two legit sacks on Lemon. He got to the QB so fast Lemon didn't even have time to look downfield before the play would have been over"

Seems to me that they are picking on Jason Allen, and that maybe why is at best a nickle back for now. Nothing like on the job experience huh?

The fact that Hagan is doing great is a positive for the offense. I must say they all look good on offense so far in the mini camps, but I need to see how the new O-line will do. I am liking the speed of Ginn, and I hope that Green will pick up Cam's offense. Great post guy.

now im confused cause i read in another article that Jason Allen was nothing short of perfect all day long or am i just an idiot does that mean he wasnt perfect at all

As long as Jason Allen doesn't quit and tries to improve then this is no big deal, he basically is a rookie again at playing CB in the NFL against NFL caliber receivers.

Being laughed at in the film room does wonders for improving play...LOL:goof:

Wright is good news I assume he was at DE where we need the depth and roataion!

If Hagan keeps shoving the DB to the ground; that's offensive pass interference.

Catching the ball with his chest? Blah...

It's only pass interference if he does when the ball is in the air. If he does at the line of scrimmage, that means he is defeating the jam and is more than likely getting open.

All receivers catches the ball against his chest/body at some point. Sometimes you have to do it to secure the ball because you know you are going to get hit.

I'm pretty sure that I read the same thing, its amazing how people can see two different perceptions on the same thing. People that are looking for Allen to fail see him make a mistake and it sticks out the most to them, people looking for him to succeed same thing he does something good and it sticks out.
