Sunday Conversation: Jason Taylor

Umm, what??! It doesnt matter what they do after football (barring something like what happend with OJ Simpson) it wont diminish their accomplishments on the field. Major overreaction here by the OP...

Its not like JT is OJ simpson. Cmon folks. Some perspective here...

I just hope that whatever he does after football doesn't diminish his career as a football player. I'd hate to see him become something of a joke as an actor. It's happened before; Howie Long as an actor comes to mind.

How is Howie Long's career as a football player diminished? He's one of the best defensive ends i've ever seen, and Broken Arrow starring he and John Travolta was a great investment of my five dollars at Walmart! :woot:

Good for him and this dancing thing. He'll retire from football some 30 years before most everyone else retires from their job. He's got all the time in the world to dance or act or whatever. Lets get back to football. He'll be making 17 mill over the next 2 years, I'm sure he can suck it up and deal with football a little longer.

Just watched it and boy did he sound bitter, has seen parcells once for thirty seconds, said that bill needs to answer his own questions {whatever that means} and said that he hopes to be remembered for his acting instead of his football.

The only positive thing that came out of his mouth in terms of how what hes doing directly affects our franchise was that he said he is in 5 times better shape then when he won DPOY

You have to be able to understand his bitterness a little bit. Almost his whole fan base is calling for his head, so to speak and saying "trade the queen" and so fourth because of some meaningless personal endeavor on his own time. A fan base who got to watch this guy play at an extremely high level for many years and always be a high character face of our franchise. I don't know about some of you guys but I for one would definitely be a little pissed and defensive.

Sceeto, I agree. Some of these so called fans are unbelievable. They bash the guy mercilessly, questioning everything from his manhood to his dedication and they expect him to be all smiles. I would be incensed if I were him listening to all this garbage after so many years of giving my all to the team. And this is coming from his own team's "fans"! Some of these guys get all worked up when you question something they post on our forum and yet they expect JT to turn the other cheek after endless personal attacks. And now someone will undoubtedly post how they have the right to blah blah blah because he makes millions of dollars and they're a season ticket holder, etc. It's a joke. Put all your childish frivolities aside guys and give him the same respect you should give anyone else.
